Sorbet Stripes

Another 2 outfit post today... Firs it the outfit I wore last night of our Jamaica trip.

The inspiration had come from Lulu's lookbook photo below:
This photo reminded me of my super old dress and wearing with big and bright turquoise jewelry!

This sorbet colored striped BCBG dress was an amazing find at some weird outlet store that only lasted a few months at its location for $20! It is a perfect casual beach or house wedding dress and I have worn it to two of my friends' weddings. It also worked great for a vacation resort dinner outfit  as well.
This silky shawl is so pretty. It was a wedding favor at my mom's cousin's son's wedding about 7 years ago. In Turkey you can get these in all sorts of amazing colors for under $15! They work as a shawl or beach cover up sarong.

I had to add some blog worthy accessory to the simple dress so came out my huge wooden necklace from a Thread Show many years ago!
The outfit would have been much cooler with higher heels which I have but did not want to carry the weight in my suitcase. So these old Ann Taylor slippers were a good substitute.

Dress - BCBG

Paisley Floral & French Braids

Will be doing two outfits today. One current outfit and one vacation outfit... This is what I wore today. It was inspired by the following photo in Tilly's Catalog:

This Paisley top is super old. The length is perfect and the cut is loose and comfy but still shapely somehow.
I lengthen the blue feather necklace by attaching it to another necklace again.

These fringe boots are so cute and great TJ Maxx find a few months back.

Top - Newport News
Necklace - Forever 21
Jeans - Closet
Boots - Mia

TODAY:
Took the kids to a pumpkin patch as part of our outdoor preschool class field trip. They were more than happy wearing their beloved costumes again. My parents met me there so I can leave for my dad's infusion appointment and they took over the kids.
Had a nice time catching up with my brother and dad during the very long infusion today. Then had dinner at my mom's with the kids.

Here is another outfit from Vacation:

We each had a $50 spa credit as part of our booking so I used it to get a manicure and chose this orange and pastel blue color combo!

Neon Tank, Hat, Necklace, Cuff bracelet - Forever 21
Pants - Bebe
Sandals - Victoria's Secret
Beaded bracelets - gifts

So many fruity drinks but we felt the alcohol content must have been very low and the calorie content very high!
That hat had to go short after cause it was sooo hot and the hat was trapping all the heat. We started overheating so my friend braided all our hair in a jiffy while we waited for the guys before dinner!

The Girls in Jamaica

Here is the outfit I wore one night on the trip. This was the night we went out just girls after the kids went to bed.
The resort club was literally dead and the size of my living room but we didn't care and danced our hearts out.
These sky high platforms were my friends. I lasted about 2 songs then went barefoot the rest of the night.

 Dress - Forever 21
Necklace - Bebe
Shoes - my friend's...

Here us girls!

Trying a 'tiger' pose....

And a Charlie's Angel Pose (you can tell drinks are free at the resort!)...

And here is a taste of some Vacation photos:
