First Meet

Sunday morning's outfit was inspired by a look in Spring 2014 of H&M catalog:

My blazer is much lighter in color but liked the idea of combining print shorts with a striped jacket….

Jacket - TJ Maxx
Top - Victoria's Secret
Shorts - J Crew
Sandals - Target
Sunglasses - Ray Ban

SUNDAY:
Woke up very early and left the house by 7 AM to go to my son's first swim meet!
The whole family was nervous, except may be for my daughter, as we had never been to one and wasn't sure what to expect. My son's coach was there and very helpful and the swim mom's are all very friendly assisting newbies like us.
First they had this gruesome team practice of 500 yard swim but the whole team swam in one lane and given that my son is the youngest and swims the slowest he kept getting run over during the warm-up which I am sure added to his nervousness. We assured him during the race he will have the whole lane to himself.
He had the 2nd heat for boys 8 and under. Of course parents use late birthdays as a tool to sign up 9 year olds to this group. So, in reality he was competing against kids 2 years older than him. He did great though and came in third even which got him a ribbon.
My parents showed up just in time to see him race. I was an emotional wreck while he was swimming and couldn't find my voice to even cheer out loud.
So proud of him and hope this gives him  a taste.

Warm-up craziness above. My son is wearing a green and black cap….

His Finish….

He was upset that he didn't win!

Dream On

What I wore to a date night with hubby Friday night. Dinner and a Show! :)

Inspiration from the 'The Zoe Report':

I switched the colors of the top and shoes to fit what I had in my closet… And couldn't stop myself from adding a necklace! :)

Leather Top - Nordstrom's Rack
Skirt - Zara
Necklace - Bauble Bar
Shoes - Shoedazzle
Cuffs - Asos

FRIDAY NIGHT:
Even though I was dying from allergies after the trip to the fair I tried to revive myself with facial masks and a warm shower and somehow managed to get my watery eyes to look normal and got dressed.
I drove with a tissue to my nose the whole way there and took a day time cold medicine and it did help.

We had a nice dinner near the theater and saw the play. Thank goodness I googled the story to read-up cause it was 100% musical and the story was very funky but entertaining. We also did the pre-order where you order your drinks/snack prior to going in and by the time you come out during the break it is all ready on a table for you. That eliminates getting in lines to buy it and finding a table in one swoop and you have more time. And they somewhat relaxed the rules on taking drinks inside so you don't have to chug your hot coffee or wine when the bell rings. :)

Fab Fair

Above was what my outfit ended up being on Friday.
However below is how it started:

The inspiration was from May 2014 J Crew Catalog:

I switched the blue tones with pink ones for this combo….

But, realized it was going to be too hot where we were going and the baseball cap would be too hot too so I switched the cap for a panama hat and ditched the jacket...

Hat(s), Pants - Forever 21
Striped Jacket - BCBG
Tee - J Crew
Sandals - Target

FRIDAY:
Went to our local Fair (aka Del Mar Fair which this year is called 'Fab Fair') on Friday with two other mommy friends and their kids.
We did our usual parking at the near by 'horse park' and took the double decker bus shuttles to the fair.
My son consumed all the snacks I packed for him before we even entered the gates and so after browsing the main exhibition and looking around for a bit we actually had lunch first. The fair is known for its huge portioned fried foods in odd combinations. My son decided to have the waffles and chicken plate. I had the gigantic turkey leg and fried zucchini curls and my daughter went with…. 'a slice of cheese pizza'!
After this healthy lunch we hit the rides where the kids went wild picking out fun rides and also dancing to music some of the rides were playing.
Then it was petting and viewing farm animals and then we (the mommies) were done.

And I think I am seriously developing a  horse allergy. Cause just like when we went horse back riding I got super sick with watery itchy eyes, runny nose, non stop sneezing and overall feeling horrible!!!!
