SUNDAY:
We have been taking turns between my husband and I visiting and staying with my dad at the hospital last couple of days. My hubby and son went there this morning with their Chargers jersey's on and one for my Dad to watch the game in his hospital room. I took my daughter to Turkish school and it was our turn to bring snack. Afterwards went to the hospital. My husband took the kids to my mom's and I stayed with him and the great news is he got discharged and I was able to bring him home to our house. Once got him settled and the house picked up I went to meet my parents, sister and the kids for dinner…
And now we are watching a movie with my dad…. :)

Oh yesterday afternoon I took the kids to a hip hop interpretation of the 'Nutcracker'… It was the coolest thing ever...

My sister in law sent this dress for her for Christmas...

I don't know where she learned to do this...

The hospital my dad was in is pretty crazy. The lobby is decorated like a five star hotel. This xmas tree was in the lobby… We got the Dr's permission to have my dad walk with us to the cafeteria for dinner last night...

California winter

FRIDAY:
Enjoying the last few days of the kids' winter break. Met a few friends at the beach to enjoy this super warm weather. I did bring extra clothes just in case but honestly thought the kids would just play in the sand and may be get their feet wet. But they were fully swimming and jumping in the waves in that freezing water. Crazy kids.
Also convinced my dad to come with us to enjoy some fresh air and sunshine. Good thing he did cause he is in the hospital today getting blood transfusions. You got to live each day…

 I bought this dress when I was pregnant with my son as it is stretchy and served as a great maternity dress. It was too mod and cool to get rid of so it has been waiting another opportunity in the extra closets. Today was its day! :)

TODAY:
Had no real plans today and got to sleep in and took it easy in the morning but managed to shower and get ready and leave by 11:30 or so. Went to the mall with no real purpose. We looked at a few stores for me and the kids and hit the play area and I have to say we were all very successful in not buying ANYTHING at all! I have been an online shopper for so long I swear I loose sight of real life shopping. It just seems so blah and the need to decide is too overwhelming. The only thing nice is you can try on and be certain of the size. I never find the stuff I find online in the store for some reason.
When we got home we relaxed and started the big 800+ piece lego set my son got from Santa. I let him follow the instructions and assemble but I help by finding the pieces and also double checking his steps as he tends to go too fast and one square mistake can cause a major issue in step 55 in these things.
My dad insisted that I write we had pop corn and watched netflix'd show (House of Cards) on TV together. He usually goes direct to bed after dinner but tonight he hung out and we had a roaring fire going so it was very nice.
