Gold Fever

What I wore last Wednesday for a super busy day at kids' school and after school as usual...

LAST WEDNESDAY:
Kids school does a special event for 4th graders every year as they study the gold rush ere in U.S. history. They had the 'Gold Dust' play last month and this month was a full on entire school wide gold mining search game...
In groups of 7-8 they searched for gold and mined it...
Then had a huge cook out... Takes about 10-15 volunteer parents and 5 teachers to make this happen but it is such a fun event...

Our sons look so alike and are great buds...

After 4.5 hours of this event... We met at the lunch arbor for my daugther's Girl Scout meeting and drove their troop to a field trip to visit the San Diego Humane Society....

Black Friday

What I wore BLACK FRIDAY!

Wearing my new cropped patchwork jeans from Guess that I bought the day before (black thursday)....

The simple button down is a bit interesting with its sequined tux stripe on the sides...

BLACK FRIDAY:

Even thought I woke up Friday morning with a headache and hangover feeling, after a cup of coffee and sleep I was ready to go again with the encouragement of my sister who only wanted to go back if I was coming...
My mom who I thought would bail out was also game.
So despite my husband's amazement we all met up by 10:30 am at the mall again!
My dear step dad was all excited to spend the day with the kids so it worked out great for me!

And funny how the minute we arrived at the overcrowded mall all my symptoms and headache were gone. Shopping is really our natural habitat and shopping with my sis and mom just makes it so much more fun. The 'entire store 40-50% off sale's don't hurt either....
I mostly buy for the kids but did managed to score some shirts and 2 pairs of OTK boots for myself as well...
At least two stores had their websites crashed that I know of (Guess and Express) so some of my purchases had to be ordered in the store but it all worked out.
Just like Thursday, we ended our day with a starbucks and pretzels...
And a phone call from my son asking me where I am! :)

To avoid the 30 person line in the regular mall bathrooms we hit Nordstrom's to use their bathroom and appreciate a store that is all nice and clean...
Especially after Zara which looked like a Hong Kong flea market with a 30 minute wait for dressing rooms and cash registers.

I have to do a photo shoot of all the cool outfits I got my daughter after all this shopping. Just a few things for my son but most are for the punk princess!
