Own The Moment

Oh my goodness, I am so behind in posts. I have had a crazy weekend with two shows so it has been hectic.
This was my outfit yesterday (Saturday). I totally forgot to take my photos Friday night! :(

This is another all 'kikaPaprika' outfit. The skirt can also be worn as a strapless dress and you can see it works great for fall/winter as a midi skirt worn with boots!

My husband caught this shot as I was changing poses and captures my two tone hair quite well!

My new 'Karen Walker' sunglasses.
Ordered them after seeing them on Bee from Atlantic Pacific. Love them!

Added red touches to the cream and brown earth toned outfit!
Layered two necklaces and I think it worked...  This top has a high neck so it can work with short or long necklaces. It was tough to decide.

Top - 'Ella' in Shell from kikaPaprika ($52)
Strapless dress worn as a midi SKIRT - 'Ava' in Espresso from kikaPaprika ($72)
Accessories: Sunglasses (Karen Walker), Belt (Anthropologie), Coin Necklace (from Turkey), Coral beaded necklaces (Charlotte Russe)
Boots: Via Spaga
Purse - Marshall's

So the pieces I wore yesterday were in earth tones.
But the cool thing about kikaPaprika is that you can get almost any piece to be dyed in any of their beautiful colors for the season.

FRIDAY & SATURDAY:
As I said I had two parties this weekend and had amazing sales and so much fun. Friday night was at my mom's house with her neighbor and friends from her card group. Saturday night was at my friend's house with her female relatives and a friend. I am truly enjoying dressing up ladies and having fun with the outfits.
And since I set my own hours I can adjust the times of the parties where I get to still spend time with the kids before and after. My husband has been great this week as it was a week from out of this world with something going on every  night! Plus Dr appointments.
I will post today (Sunday's) outfit sometime tomorrow. Going to watch the Oscar's with the girls at my friend's house. CAN NOT WAIT to check out the red carpet!

To all the girls

This was my outfit to a fun fashion bash with the girls.
The outfit was inspired loosely by this post of Bee from Atlantic Pacific:

The concept of wearing all black mini skirt outfit with edgy booties and accessories:

Jacket, Top, necklaces and bracelets - Forever 21
Leather mini - BCBG (great thrift find by my mom)
Booties - Michael Antonio
Purse 6951 (I probably always get this brand wrong cause I can never remember the sequence and too lazy to get up and look)

Here is a group photo of us at the Fashion Bash event:

Since I always post so late in the day I decided to do my
Fashion Beauty Friend Friday
post today.

This Month's Topic is:
TECHNOLOGY!

1. What are the tools you use to blog?
Not quite sure what this means but I use google's blogspot. For someone who is not tech savy google sure makes it easy to create and format a blog. I strictly use my sony vaio laptop (which is pink by the way). I do use my iphone to read blogs but never to post. I have a canon SLR and a big tripod and take my own photos 90% of the time. For editing photos I use Microsoft Office Picture Manager. If I only had photoshop!

2. What technology item is on your wish-list?
I would love to have photo shop to make my photos better. But then again if I had more time to actually pick better locations and lighting they would be better naturally then again I do the best I can with two kids.

3. Through the barrage of posts, tweets, pics, poses, messages, etc... how do you avoid becoming a slave to the constant infiltration of information?
This is tough. I truly love writing my blog but what I love even more is reading the blogs I follow or the excitement I get when I find a new blog I like. But life is always priority and most days I barely get a chance to post let alone visit the lovely people who have commented on my previous post. I try at least once a week to go back and visit my favorites. And I draw the line with blogspot. I do post on chictopia but I rarely am able to visit the ladies that comment or check out the gallery. I use twitter strictly to tweet that I have a new post and same goes for my facebook page.
I simply do not have time and am OK with that.

All in kikaPaprika

I decided to take the risk of dirtying my sample line and wore all kikaPaprika today!
So let me tell you a little about this wonderful company I started working with.
kikaPaprika was founded and run by a mother-daugther team since 2008. They are based in Laguna Beach, CA just a bit north of me. They have about 70 consultants across the country and looking to grow big time.

They are a socially responsible and eco friendly company that uses organic cottons and dyes and create the most amazing high quality clothes that are not only flattering but also comfortable for women of all sizes and age! All pieces are designed and manufactured in U.S.A.

I am proud to be working for a women owned company that is environmentally friendly and supports the economy  of the country I live in.

So, Today's Outfit:
The spring/summer line has 12 custom colors. You can order majority of the pieces in the collection in any of these colors at no extra charge. These items were in my sample line in these colors so I made it a set.
I love the pencil skirt because it is form fitting yet night tight! The length was actually totally suitable without leggings but I was too cold this morning so added the leggings for warmth.

After trying on many different accessories I settled on the blue/silver vintage necklace from my mom's teenage years and the double tortoise cuff bracelets.

These black and tan animal print flats were a perfect match! And add a bit of pattern to the solid ensemble.

Got my hair re-colored last night! I am loving my stylist who is genius in this 'ombre' hair coloring!
You can also see the top I wore underneath has a straight front hem and a longer curved back hem. Such great details!

'Angie' Vest in Camel - $88
'Elyse' top in Black - $74
'Simone' pencil skirt in Camel - $58
Capri Leggings in black - $58
All pieces kikaPaprika
Accessories - cuffs Asos, Necklace vintage, shoes enzo
