Take another sip!

My Mother's Day outfit inspired by this blogger post (I couldn't find the url of her website as this photo was saved from a long time ago):

I always save my a bit more 'out there' outfits to wear with my mom and sister as they are the boldest dressers in my circle... :)

 Jacket, Top - Forever 21
Shorts - H&M
Hat - Vintage
Boots - Ivanka Trump

An amazing Mother's Day waking up to my beautiful babies and their hand made gifts and cards, followed up by a whole day of shopping, canvas painting and dinner and laughs with my gorgeous mom and little sister....

Here we are after stopping two poor young women who were out for a walk for this photo...
Carrying a cooler on wheels that contained all our wine and snacks for the canvas painting activity...

During the whole painting process the instructor kept telling us to 'take another sip' of our drink so we wouldn't obsess about our paintings! :)

Never too late

Sunday night's outfit was inspired by this J Crew Factory Look Photo:

I had the same shirt from factory but used my own black and cream boucle jacket and mixed coral and pearl necklaces to create the same effect…

Tee - J Crew Factory
Jeans - Zara
Purse - Michael Kors
Sandals - Nine West

Necklaces - Bauble Bar & Etsy

SUNDAY:
Went to a beach birthday party for majority of the day then went out with my pre school mommy group…
The kids were each at a separate sleep over….

MONDAY:
Woke up early to go to our Monday Playdate where the kids were brought from their sleepovers to there. Actually my son had stayed at the host's house.
They were all sooo tired from late night and early morning so we stayed only a couple hours and left right after lunch before the kids got in any more drama or fights.
After the playdate we came home to rest then met my bootcamp instructor for our first private surf lesson!
The kids flourished under one on one tutoring and caught 2-3 waves each. Me not so much. I just can't beat that inner fear and pop up on the board. I admire their fearlessness….

TUESDAY:
Never dull moment in our household as you know if you follow my blog…
We met up with a various group of friends to go to the water park (Aquatica) on Tuesday.
We had bought the summer passes so want to get some use out of them by at least going 3 times this summer.
It was a great day going from ride to ride with the children…

Tuesday night I went out so that will be a new post tomorrow…

Lucky in Luxe

Saturday's chic outfit to the theater with our girls was inspired by Boden's Fall 2013 catalog:
I love the Boden's style and cherish the catalogs for inspiration ideas… They are colorful and chic and usually practical appealing to the mother on the go clientele...

Jacket, Top - Forever 21
Jeans - Asos
Shoes - J Crew
Purse - Charming Charlie's
Necklace - Cookie Lee

SATURDAY:
Enjoying all the children's plays in our city. My sister is so taken with the movie 'Annie'. She had seen the original last year and had loved it and when the modernized version came to the movie theaters she was ecstatic. Although she still loves the original more. This Saturday we went to a Jr. Theater play of it. The kids were phenomenal with amazing voices and watching my daughters face just light up when they are singing is something to behold. She dreams of being on that stage I just know it….

Story of my life

Yesterday's outfit was inspired by this Chictopia post:

I thought this looked so similar to my jacket and mixing with red shoes was a great idea. I had to stay realistic with a lower heeled booties though...

TUESDAY:
This week has been brutal and we are just starting it. Today was another 'no room to breathe' kind of schedule day. We had to skip our outdoor class once again as we had a Dr appt for my daughter. The office is right next to children's hospital which has a huge McDonalds with at fun statue garden play area etc… So she insisted on food and we had to sit for a while so all that took longer than I expected. Then we stopped at home for 10 minutes to clean-up etc then went to pick up my son (half day again) and parked this time so we can all go to his school book fair and they picked out 2 books each. Then we stopped at home again just in time for me to get my lunch then it was to my Dr appt attempt #2 but this time they saw me right away and we were out of there pretty quickly. Back to my son's school to meet my husband there so he can entertain the kids while I had a Parent Teacher Conference with the teacher. It was all good. He is advanced in reading and extremely advanced in Math and reasoning skills. He is super fast at everything. Areas he is just proficient and could work on are writing (he is so sloppy) and re-tell, which is the ability to summarize what he has read. She also told me he did his presentation without using his paper and was amazing at it. I was so proud.
After that we came home. Showered the kids and put cozy clothes on and went to my friend's house for a quick dinner and a chance for us to catch-up and give her son's b-day gift etc…
I was supposed to work out but I just didn't have it in me last night and now feel so blah for not sticking with it.
