What I wore last Thursday....

Loosely inspired by this Cabi look from last season:

I  more took the concept of a longer top under a cropped jacket. None of my black shirts were loose long enough for this look so went with the burgundy top instead... Hadn't worn this jacket in ages so it was nice to give it life...

WEEKDAYS:
The days are going in a fast forward paste with working for 7 hours then picking up kids and doing their activities and fitting in house stuff in between and trying to get sleep!
My son made all star for baseball once again which of course ramped up our schedule like crazy. Adding 5 two hour practices last week causing me switch out bunch of their other activities around like tennis and swim and then having to send tons of texts between other moms to come up with a carpool schedule so at least one parent drops off and parent picks up.
We all come to the games but practices we don't need to stay. Especially when they are two hours and we all have other kids that have stuff going on.
Needless to say quite exhausted pretty much all the time!

WEDNESDAY:
Work was loooong. They asked me to stay late so I had to have my sitter stay late and then just bring the kids to the ice skating rink and meet me there since I work very close to that area.
Except I had no appropriate shoes or a WALLET! So not only was I not able to my sitter she had to give me cash so I can buy dinner!

After doing volunteer work at school in the morning and running a couple errands met my mom at the mall for a little bit of shopping and lunch before picking up the kids from school and taking them to swim practice..

Since I am so behind in posts the days are a blur but I know I had book club last Thursday and we discussed Maria Semple's new novel 'Today will be Different'...
We had read her previous books 'Where did you go Bernadette' but I have to say even though it was an entertaining read it wasn't much of a discussion worthy book.
As we concluded as a group our favorite parts were the first and last sentences in the book.
