An American Girl

My outfit Sunday as we drove to LA with my daughter and friend to 'The Grove' shopping mall to spend her friend's birthday at the American Girl Doll Store in that mall...

This boho dress was a steal at Francesca's during Black Friday sale... at 50% off...

 Dress, Necklace, Headband - Francesca's
Boots - Madden Girl

SUNDAY:
Wow, what a heavenly mall is 'The Grove'... Have to go there with my sis and mom one time and just shop all day. Even though it has the same stores we do the merchandise seems all nicer and cooler and the mall is just so pretty and relaxing and upscale... Loved it...

Then we went in the giant American Girl Doll store... And my daughter was in heaven...
Every historical doll had its own room like a museum depicting their story. There is a spa and salon for the dolls. My daughter got a braid done for her doll and a whole design your own segment... They really know how to get you. And the prices are just crazy!

The cafe was spectacular as well. They have high chairs for your doll and the waiters cater to the little girls and their dolls like royalty...

Collision of the Worlds

Monday's outfit inspired by another boho look from Forever 21:

It has been chilly here so fitting in last fall looks before summer comes...
The way to pull off destroyed jeans at my age is to dress up everything including make up and hair so it looks somehow polished! :)

Sweater, Jeans - Forever 21
Shirt - Gap
Purse -Guess
Necklace - Cookie Lee
Booties - Steve Madden

MONDAY:
Started pilates which was nice.... And loaded up the fridge for the week again. I have been making meal list for the week which makes planning much easier... We have a busy week with my daughter's skating performance coming up and my son making the all star baseball team there are long rehearsals and practices pretty much every night plus their regular activities like swim, tennis and gymnastics...
So happy to have my energy to handle it all but fear getting sick again...

Stirred not Shaken

Friday's road trip outfit was inspired by Lucky's May 2015 issue:

This type of dress reminded me of my Bazaar find in Turkey with the carwash fringe. And really perfect for a long car ride as the dress is so comfortable. Adding sneakers and a tissue weight white jacket over it makes it casual….

Dress - from Turkey
Jacket - TJ Maxx
Sneakers - Superga

FRIDAY:
Right after dropping off the kids at school was picked up by my friend and started our adventure for a girls weekend in Santa Barbara to celebrate her big 4-0 birthday!
Took us a couple hours to collect everyone from their homes and load up the car and we did hit some traffic but it was a fun ride regardless chatting away and many bathroom and meal stops.

When we arrived we checked into our a block from the beach boutique hotel and immediately left to catch some happy hour drinks and the gorgeous sunset on the Santa Barbara pier….

Girls Just Can't Guess?

The title comes from the silly saying on my shirt. I of course did not buy it because of what it says but more because it looked cool very disco vibe shirt..
It was perfect for a girls night out of dinner and bowling downtown…

Added these cute heart shaped earrings made out of old record players.. Goes perfect with the shirt I think...

Shirt, Purse - Guess
Pants - Zara
Boots - Vintage
Earrings - Vintage

SATURDAY NIGHT:
Combined my pre-school parent group outing with our book club meeting as there are a lot of people that belong to both groups and met for happy hour and dinner at a thai restaurant. We managed to discuss the resent book we read: "Go Set a Watchman" and then went next door to this new bar/mini bowling alley place that is downtown.
Such a difference from the other local bowling alley places. Very hip and new and swanky…
Had a blast bowling for 2 hours…
