Well, this was Election Night and I don't like to include political views in this forum but lets just say it was quite an upset....

 What I wore Saturday night to my sister's best friend's wedding…

This was the dress I bought to wear at my cousin's wedding 6 years ago. 

It was an amazing find at a Thread Show. The super cool style and the bright jewel geometric pattern appealed to me… It has a lot going on though so I think I wore it once on this blog for an art opening with a black blazer on top but that is it… So it was nice to wear it again…

And these dainty sunglasses always look great with dressy wear at weddings. I wore them to a wedding in Turkey too...

Isn't this necklace just gorgeous? Such a minimalist look given how much the dress has going…

 So even though these shoes looked absolutely adorable with the dress and the style I couldn't stand in them without my calves and legs shaking so had to switch to the electric blue sandals with block heels instead...

SATURDAY:
We started the morning very early with my son's swim meet… He attempted 100 Meter IM (Individual Medley) which is all 4 swim strokes 25 yards (one length of the pool) each. Butterfly, Backstroke, Breast and Free Style. He was so nervous trying to remember all the rules of how you touch the wall at the end of each 25 meters and the flips etc.. He did make one mistake so got DQ'd. But he did finish the race. We all had to talk him off the ledge as he absolutely HATES failure.
Even tough we told him how proud we were that he tried and you have to make mistakes in life to succeed but kids just don't get this…

After the swim meet my husband took my son to his friend's laser tag birthday party while I took my daughter to the mall to browse and have lunch then came home. Was so tired and napped and tried to get strength back to go out with the girls for the big bacheloratte party…

We started with a sushi dinner followed by a stop at their hotel room then to the club.
Thank goodness the group decided to splurge on a table service otherwise I don't think I would have lasted for only 20 minutes in those shoes with no place to sit. But given the bottle service of course we stayed the whole night and kept on drinking and I am still paying for that and got sick now. I am just too old for all night of partying I realize… :)
