THURSDAY:

The day was filled with again crazy errands and housework followed by kid activities of swim and baseball. At the end hosted by book club which had an amazing turnout... We spent way too much time chatting and partially discussing the short book (84 Charing Cross Rd) and started watching the series we had planned to quite late. We had red 'Big Little Lies' by Lianne Moriarty a while back and have been taping the HBO miniseries so we could watch together. 

Besides changing the location from Australia to Monterey CA the casting was sooo perfect and we truly enjoyed watching it and remembering parts we had forgotten...

Got a busy week where we have been doing a lot of long beach play dates followed by me going out for 3 nights in a row!

TUESDAY:
Finally the endless summer has come to an end at least in formality and the kids started school. And so has our crazy schedule with sport team practices, games, rehearsals etc… Kids are happy though the last two weeks they were somewhat bored.
Unfortunately though weather wise it is a heat wave right when they start school so not fun…

WEDNESDAY:
Dropped off the boys at Jr. Lifeguard camp and took my daughter to a pool playdate party at my friend's house… We left there to pick up the boys then drop off my son's friend and went direct to a 6 year old birthday party on the bayside . Unusual to have a weekday night party but it did work out. Unfortunately I didn't know any of the guest except for the host but the kids immediately meshed with the kids they met and were having sooo much fun that I didn't have the heart to leave early. The party was followed by the 'movies on the bay' event when it got dark…
