In Tulle like Rihanna

This was my outfit tonight to go to the mini thread show with my girlfriend. The inspiration came from this tiny photo of Rhinana:
I tried on so many different grey blazers but none looked right so changed it up a bit with a white graphic tee and a tweed shorter jacket instead:
Wearing my new romwe tulle skirt. Love it. Loved how I was covered in tulle all night. Like wearing a wedding gown!

These shoes are super old and used to my work shoes for the season they were bought. They show a bit of an age but the style is unique so I kept them:

Jacket - Part of a suit from Newport News
Tee - from a street vendor in Turkey
Skirt - Romwe
Socks, bracelets, red belt - Forever 21
Shoes - BCBGirls
Knuckle Clutch purse - Expressions NYC (from TJ Maxx)

And here is the outfit I wore during the day to do grocery shopping, visit the dr with my dad and some early xmas shopping since the store was near the Dr's office:

The Inspiration Photo:

Everything from Forever 21 except for the boots which are UGGs...

TONIGHT:
Thread show was tiny in this hair salon with 2 clothes vendors, 1 purse vendor and 1 very cool jewelry vendor with prices in the $500-$800 range so that was a bit weird.
We actually picked out a 'ton' of clothes especially me but ended up only getting 2 graphic tee's and my friend bought one adorable dress. We then went to dinner and enjoyed a night without kids. Took some photos with the iphone but it is too late to download right now...

The photos did not come out good today so, sorry about that... I had gotten the inspiration for the top combo of this in the F21 store. Put it together with stuff I already own...

TODAY:
I hate starting the week unprepared. 'Prepared' in my book means, the laundry is done and put away, the grocery shopping has been done and there is a meal list planned and my outfits are already chosen and I am somewhat caught up on email, blog reading and bills. None of these with the exception of my outfit list (which I did before I left for the weekend) was done. So woke up early to get a head start on unpacking and laundry. Spent the morning at Pre-school. During and after naps ran around the house at probably my target heart rate trying to unpack all the bags from the trip finish laundry, clean the kitchen and cooked like crazy for at least couple of days/nights. With us on the diet we ate so little and spent too much on the little food we ate so I wanted to make-up for it and cook bunch of different meat/fish and veggie dishes at least for couple days. Created a humungous mess in the kitchen which took almost as long as to clean up as to create. My stepdad came over to play with the kids and helped with baths and bedtime which helped so much to get everything done. Plus we had cable installation and loan closing notary public appointments in the house. What a crazy day.

I am also totally behind in my snapfish annual albums that I am trying to catch-up since December is only a month away. Every year I create one giant family album that contains the best of all the photos we took that year. The creation of this album takes forever though so I promised myself last year that I wouldn't go crazy trying to finish my albums all at once. So my goal was to add each month throughout the year. I did really good until summer than fell behind and now I need to catch-up. I also create an annual blog photo album, memory books for the kids and calendars for various family members. I have about 10 open projects in Snapfish at any given point!

Weekend in Palm Springs

Sorry for the absence during the weekend. We were away in Palm Springs for my Dad's 65th B-Day!
This was my outfit on Saturday. The weather unfortunately was awful, cold and raining and i had only packed warmish clothes so was not really cozy in this outfit but only wore it to dinner....

The Inspiration came from the lovely Carrie Fabulous Blog:
These color combinations were cool and I thought I could incorporate my harem pants...

Sweater, Pants, Scarf - Forever 21
Heels - from Turkey
Bracelets - Victoria's Secret & Guess

SATURDAY:
It was my Dad's actual b-day. We drove up in the morning probably the only sunny time of the day and it started pouring right after we checked and dressed to go swimming! So ate lunch inside which was not easy with kids that had already been sitting in a car for 3 hours! Trying to get their energy out in the afternoon we took them to chuck'e'cheese then met up everyone for dinner at a much nicer place. After dinner we went to a bakery where my SIL had ordered a cake and sang my dad happy b-day.

My adorable Nephew enjoying his food!

SUNDAY OUTFIT

This outfit was also inspired by Carrie Fabulous Blog!

She has so many great polyvore combinations that I often save them for outfit inspirations. This one with grey and white with pops of black and blue I thought were so cool.

Jean Jacket & White Jeans - Forever 21
Silver Tank - Charlotte Russe
Scarf - TJ Maxx
Flats - Tilly's

SUNDAY:
Met up for breakfast and afterwards walked around the grounds to enjoy a beautiful morning which is when we took these photos. My dad and husband played tennis. We then finally were able to go for a swim and my son had a blast with the pool slide. After lunch we took the tram up to play in the snow! So it was a true 'surf and ski' kind of a day. It was the first time my kids saw and touched snow!

Now I must get to bed. Starting the week totally unprepared with so much laundry and unpacking and cooking to do.
