Ride On

Today's inspiration was from Shoedazzle lookbook for their boots:
I loved the knit leggings with flat tall boots and scarf/hat/moto jacket combo…
You never know how long chilly weather will last here so want to take advantage of it while it is cold…

Jacket, Hat, turtleneck - Forever 21
Scarf - Ann Taylor LOFT
Ponte Legging Pants - kika Paprika
Boots - very old catalog/online purchase. I honestly do not remember from where…
Bracelets, ring - Bauble bar, etsy, cookie lee, park lane

TODAY:
We started the morning taking it easy and having breakfast with my dad. Since we had time he even got to read couple stories to my daughter before we left…

Went to a close by pumpkin patch with our outdoor class this time. My daughter in her 2 of 3 halloween costumes dresses as a pumpkin for the occasion. I have to say the $4 thrift store purchase orange crocs have come in very handy this halloween.
The girls went through the rides so fast in record speed that we were done before noon including eating our picnic lunch.
Stopped at a store to do a return then came to the indoor play area for my job search…

I loved this mom and son in the sock monkey costumes….

My little pumpkin….

At night met up with the girls for a late dinner at a restaurant that had no corkage fee on tuesdays so that really kept the cost down…

Hi honey I'm home

This was my outfit this morning going to my Dr's appointment. It was a bit heavy for the hot day but the office is always super cold so it worked. I shed some of these layers when I got home for the rest of the day...

The inspiration was from I think Tilly's Magazine:

I had to add a hat as I was not having a great hair day... ;)

Hat, Scarf - do not remember where I have acquired these...
Tee, Boots, jeans - Forever 21
Belt, Purse - Q
Bracelet, Ring - Cookie Lee

FRIDAY, SATURDAY:
Have been under the weather a little lately. We stayed home Friday to take it easy but then did some major grocery shopping to get ready for our upcoming 30 Day Detox!
My husband and I will be starting this on Monday. Following the program by Arbonne Cosmetics. The goal is to eliminate all the toxins and processed food from our diet and cleanse. No Alcohol, no caffeine, no dairy, no gluten and everything organic! I have to say it was quite an experience trying to find free range eggs/chicken and grass fed beef and wild fish. Organic veggies and fruit was not difficult but everything was definitely more expansive. There is no dairy but the shakes we'll make in the morning will involve milk. I bought every kind of milk we are allowed to see what we like better. So our fridge is now filled with coconut, rice and almond milk. Lets see... I am looking forward to it though. Lately I have been going a bit nuts on caffeine and it is going to be hardest thing for me to give up. The program does come with these all natural energy frizz drinks so lets see if they work.

Friday night my kids spent the night at my mom and stepdad's while my husband left for his tennis tournament. It was so odd being in the house all by myself but good odd. I was happy to have the kids back after I got back from the Dr's. We just all hung out at the house.

Kick, Hit, Yell!

My outfit Tuesday.... I was going to wear the leather pants with this combo but then realized I didn't want those pants in a sand playground so went with the skinny cargo's instead...

The inspiration was this:

This reminded me of my chunky sweater and wearing a delicate tulle/ruffle top under it:

I love this necklace. It is hand crochet flowers attached to a silk ribbon. Found this at a street fair in Turkey. I so should have bought more of her pieces cause they were all so gorgeous. This summer I plan to shop big for this type of stuff so I can sell it with the beautiful Kika Paprika's fall/winter line clothes.
I also love how this tank peeks out of the cardigan. I bought this top primarily for this hemline.
And the earpods.... I was trying to do a work call at the same time and kept pulling them out of my ear just before the photo snapped. I lost my bluetooth ok so it sucks!

Cardigan and boots - Forever 21
Top - Charlotte Russe
Pants - Target
Necklace - handmade from a Turkish Bazaar

TUESDAY:
We had our outdoor class today but it was a field trip to a Karate Academy for a free class. The kids had a blast. They had a great promotion so I signed them both up for 5 classes plus a uniform for $25 a kid.
Not sure if we'll continue but it will be a different activity for a while.
After class we fit in a quick grocery shopping since there was a store there in front of the same parking lot. Then drove to the playground couple blocks away and had the kids play. My daughter took a nice nap that afternoon.
My friend came over with her two boys for a playdate and dinner in the afternoon/night.

Here are some fun Karate Class Photos:

I love this trying to concentrate photo! My son is in the red sweats.

When the levee breaks

This was my outfit yesterday (Sunday).
The inspiration was from an older issue of Vogue:
I actually would have worn my light grey suit blazer but it was at dry cleaner's so went with this tan one instead:

Suit Jacket - Ann Taylor
Tee, Jeans, Necklace, sunglasses - Forever 21
Boots - Steve Madden

SUNDAY:
Took the kids to Turkish school and signed them up for the new semester. My mom met me there so we can chat while they were in class. After naps my husband took them to my mom's house so I can get ready for my second Kika Paprika Introduction party at my house. Since I am the one and only consultant in my city pretty much no one has heard of the line and I have decided to hold a few 'introduction' parties at my house so I can show the line to my friends and family and get them excited with the hopes that they would host a party for me for their friends.
The party was great. The gals were super efficient in trying on clothes and making their decisions. I love watching everyone try on the clothes and see who likes more and how each looks on different ladies.
I have a lot of clean-up and organizing to do today to catch-up...
I had no time to take my photo when I wore my Kika outfit so bummed!
