MOMness

Saturday night's inspiration was actually from two different magazines.

1st was from March or April (2015) issue of Glamour:

And the 2nd was from March 2015 issue of People Style Watch:

I liked this all white combo with touches of brown and black. Except my cognac suede jacket was not the right cut so I went with the bronze metallic instead….

Jacket - Kenar

Pants - H&M

SATURDAY:
Had a nice day having our relative and his new girlfriend over for a swim and dinner visit except I had to leave them at my house and leave earlier to go to our school fundraiser mom event….

Missed Connections

Tonight's outfit for a quick get away to a dear family friend's farewell party...
Yes the orange pants again. Sometimes I like wearing combo's using the same piece that way they get worn twice before I do a wash/iron. You saw a very casual look with these orange pants yesterday and today they go very dressy....

The inspiration was from September 2011 issue of Vogue:
I swapped the white pants for orange and the orange coat for a white one...
I have been dying to wear this Zara coat I got on end of season clearance. It is the ultimate white coat. I love the cut the shape, everything! It is just not going to be very versatile for me to wear often given its pure whiteness and dry clean only status but I will manage.

I kept the simple lines of the jacket with this simple cuff necklace and bracelet and the super chunky knuckle clutch!

The tone on tone satin stripes of this tee makes it more dressy don't you think?
Mom was not a big fan of this unkempt hair. She said as we were leaving 'are you going to brush your hair before the photos' and I said I was selling this hair as wild and cool but she said she wasn't sure who was buying it. :)

TODAY:
Well today did not quite turn out the way I envisioned. I slept in and had a leisurely breakfast watching couple favorite recorded shows than my plan was to gear in a serious work mode and get things done. Which is when I had the call from mom that my son was sick and 10 minutes later she called again to inform he wasn't breathing easily which is when I had her call the nurse doctor and dressed in a frenzy and rushed to her house. My son was sick but not ER sick so we waited until 2 pm for our Dr. appointment. He got prescribed inhalers and antibiotics and as we went to the drug store he threw up on both of us. We barely made it home to clean him up and put him down for the nap he was begging for.
I was in denial that given the situation we would ever be able to go for the farewell party but the nap helped and my mom brought back my daughter from her gym class and my hubby came home to take over and we did manage to go to the party at least for an hour or so.

My mom is on the left end.... The Turkish group of the party....

Prints Charming

Finally catching up on my outfit posts from actually this week...
This was my outfit on MONDAY... for a dinner out with the girls followed by a movie...
My friends are so used to me totally dressing up when we go out. Especially since I take every opportunity to wear heels which I can't with the kids. When I got compliments on the outfit at the theater they all chimed in and said 'this is how she dresses all the time!'. It was cute.

Went a bit crazy with the blue eyeshadows apparently...

No inspiration photo for this but pretty much the classic J Crew style was my inspiration. You know mixing patterns (dots and gingham) and styles (menswear vs. sexy) and the whole big necklace over a button up blouse look.

I have been lusting over the metallic silver heels at J Crew which are going for over $230. So I was ecstatic when 'shoedazzle' brought the similar style for under $40. Of course not the soft italian leather the J Crew pair would have been but with my shoe collection these will suffice.

 Blazer - J Crew
Blouse - Ralph Lauren
Belt, necklace - Forever 21
Jeans - Newport News
Purse - TJ Maxx
Heels - Shoedazzle
