Emerald City

What I wore on Thursday to Work...

Inspired by Cabi's current season look book:

Love the pairing of cuffed jeans with slip on shoes and the white top and scarf and necklace...
I used a silky bomber jacket to top it off...

State Capital

What I wore last Friday as I went with my son and his school Student Council grp to Sacramento to visit the state capital!

We were going to be gone from 5:30 AM to 9:30 PM all day so I wanted to pick an outfit that was comfortable and would hold its shape all day and not show dirt or stains but also look semi-professional as we toured government buildings and museums...

Inspiration from Cabi's current season:

I loved this cotton tank and pants combo immediately when I viewed the current season looks. The fabric is such a thick high quality cotton and it does not stretch yet has the feel of athletic clothing.
Due to the drapy texture it looks very dressy.

I liked the idea of adding a neck scarf and a long necklace. Nude ballet flats keep it practical and a thin cardi in the same tone allow to battle the chilly airplane climate without distracting from the outfit...

LAST MONDAY:
My family gets up at break of dawn and they hold off may be for an hour in the room but then I need to get up if we want to do breakfast together. So we started our days on this trip around 7:30 already out of the hotel!
Hence got so much done in the day as a result....

Started the day with a great breakfast at Eight AM cafe, then walked steep hills of San Fran to reach lombard street and walked to the top...
From there descended to China Town on foot but it was too early for even the shops to be open let alone lunch...
So took an uber to the 'Cable Car Museum' to kill time and headed back to China town for lunch...

After that took an uber again to the museum of California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park which was amazing. We could have spent at least another hour there but after couple hours we were beat since we had been out since break of dawn...

Went back to the hotel and enjoyed a glass of wine in the cool lobby while they played the cool games there and then we rested upstairs before going out to dinner...
