What I wore today for running errands and taking kids to camp and Dr appointments...

Inspiration was from Pinterest:

Tank - Boden USA
Jeans - Forever 21
Booties - Vince Camuto

Lately:
I have been wearing outfits but too lazy to take photos so posts have been few in between...
Last week before school starts.
I am ready... We had a great summer but anxious to get back to routine which will consist of a crazy schedule compromised of sports and school but I will get back to working out again and having some time without the kids to get things done...

It's a Shore Thing

Yesterday's outfit was inspired by this Pinterest post:

I substituted my peach jeans instead of shorts and went for sleeveless sheer top instead of the long sleeve version. The pearls and jeweled sandals and black sunglasses pulled the look...

Shirt, Necklace - Forever 21
Jeans - Thrifted
Sandals - Steve Madden (from TJ Maxx)
Sunglasses - House of Harlow

THURSDAY:
We skipped the ice skating lesson to join this 'Shore Thing' event at the Museum of Modern art which happens to be located in my zipcode. Every thursday they have a free entrance to the museum with a DJ and a cash bar. The venue is just absolutely breathtaking over looking our city' beautiful shoreline.
We first met at the rec center across the street and had the kids play and ate a picnic dinner then went in. ONly to discover the current exhibition is quite not suitable for children so we had to browse very quickly and skip some of the rooms as the paintings were quite disturbing…
But the kids had a great time playing at the outside area. We all decided this would be a great outing for couples sans children…. Next time….

Yeah, yeah, this is a tough city to live in!...

Gelato

Today's sorbet color combo was inspired by a very old Atlantic Pacific post:

These colors are so cute together. My pants are a bit more brighter peach than her blush pink but I think the idea is the same…. I decided to go with the lizard print loafers instead of nude heels...

Scarf - Kika Paprika
Sweater - Forever 21
Blouse - Express
Jeans - Thrifted
Loafers - Victoria's Secret
Bracelets - C Wonder
Rings - Baublebar

TODAY:
I woke up feeling horribly sick and had not energy to go anywhere so we skipped Turkish school. After resting I felt good enough to take the kids to the movies. My son said he would see Draft Day so him and I and my stepdad saw that while my mom and daughter saw Rio 2. The movie was a bit over his head but he is so interested and so obsessed with football that he wanted to learn even more.
Afterwards we did grocery shopping and came back home.
Tomorrow starting nutrition and working out again! :)

The Rookie

Today's outfit was inspired by the recent Nordstorom's Catalog:

I do love this kika tweed jacket in the mint color but wanted to show how cute the peach color can also be in this simple but chic combo....

I am going in for a major hair change once again this Monday. Hey,  I gave normal hair a try for couple of months and it is just not me. This medium length and simple color feel to blend. So i am going shorter this time since I went super long with extensions before and going to try a different shades lighter/blonder too.... It has been also hard to keep my hair nicely groomed as we work out every night and I only wash it every other night. I use dry shampoo and go with this half wavey style instead of polished...

Jeans - H&M
Necklace & Purse - Shoedazzle
Ballet flats - Kate Spade

TODAY:
Took the kids to their first acting class this morning. They were excited and definitely not shy about being dropped off and my hubby and I had an hour to chat and have our morning coffee.
Then it was off to my son's baseball game. The weather never warmed up and we were freezing on the bleachers.  Afterwards we had lunch then went home to drop off the kids with daddy and grandpa and my mom and I met my sister at the mall and spent the next 4 hours shopping for a grey vest/pant suit combo for my son to wear at my sister's wedding. It was the most frustrating and un-fun shopping trip ever. For some reason every single store had what we were looking for in colors of navy, tan or black but NOT gray. When we found one it was either too cheap or the sizes started at size 8 while my son wears 6. It was super frustrating. We might just buy online and hope it is good quality. At least we did get his blue converses he will be wearing and in the process got him some cute clothes. :)
Dinner at home was nice as the guys had BBQ'd and we played the dinner game again this time with my mom and stepdad and it was so much fun. The kids really get into it and we spend at least 10 minutes having a nice group conversation which has rarely occurred.
