Be My Valentine

 What I wore on Tuesday ( Valentine's Day )....

Inspiration from Pinterest:

I love this because it is funky with kick flared jeans and white booties and pearls over plaid shirt...

TUESDAY:
Well, when you have kids the Valentine's become a family event and a fancy romantic restaurant is replaced by a kid friendly chain that is convenient to the kids activities...

So here we are at Red Robin after ice skating and swim practices...

Unbelievable Sights

Sunday's outfit was inspired by this look from People Stye Watch's Oct 2014 Issue:
I was going to wear a grey cowl neck sweater but for one it felt too hot with the red peacoat and I really wanted to wear this leather collar my friend made for my 40th birthday… So wore a tank instead!

Coat, Pants - Forever 21
Tank - Alloy
Collar - handmade
Belt - Ann Taylor
Boots - Steve Madden

SUNDAY:
We drove back from LA and picked up the kids. My son had a friend over to watch the Charger game while I tried get my daughter to rest to recover from all the fun she had at Grandma's house.
By afternoon we ate a very early dinner and got ready to meet our friends to tour the holiday lights this time at a different neighborhood than we have been before. Living in a big city we have many many options to choose from and wanting different experiences I convinced everyone to drive a bit north and East. It was worth it. Although half our group couldn't show for health reasons. My husband ended up being the only adult male but he hung in there…
The neighborhood had some sort of Life size Holiday Card art display theme going on among all the lights. Each home painted a card on a huge plywood panel and displayed it in their yard with lights. Majority was Disney Themed. It was like an art gallery. Very cool….

This red cape was mine when I was a little girl, hand made by my grandmother! :)

Lake and Snow

Spent the Easter weekend (Sunday/Monday) at Big Bear. This was my outfit Sunday...
The inspiration was from a Michael Kors Ad:
The all white ensemble was perfect for the snow and I always need a cold weather to wear my white coat which I love so much...

This is how I left in the morning but the photos were taken without the coat...

In the afternoon back at the cabin I put on the ugg boots hence the different boots...

Coat - Bebe
Sweater - Guess (I think, I can't remember)
Jeans - Forever 21
Purse - Shoedazzle
Boots - Target

SUNDAY at Big Bear:
Signed up the kids for snowboarding class. It felt like it would be a warmer day but there was windchill so it was a bit colder than we anticipated. The girls did not last as long as the boys.
But at the end of the class the boys were coming down the hill and even making a single turn!
I had hurt my knee so I decided to not push it and ski. My friend decided to sit it out too which was a good thing cause 15 minutes after we got coffee the class called us with her daughter wanting to quit. It would have sucked if she had already purchased a lift ticket.
We had lunch at the resort before heading home for some down time. In the afternoon the kids played outside and enjoyed the fresh fall weather in spring! :)

Kids had fun at the cabin and outside after the snowboarding lessons....

MONDAY

This was my outfit today which was inspired by a photo in the F21 lookbook I think....

Of course normally I would wear different shoes but it was cold and the snow boots felt right....

Coat, pants - Forever 21
Tee - Stylemint
Boots - Target

MONDAY:
We took it easy this morning and then packed up most of the stuff and took the kids to a mini zoo and a park by the lake for some fresh air outing...
Then we had lunch in the village before heading back home to end a super nice weekend getaway...
