You Light Up My Life

Wednesday's inspiration was from J Crew's Feb 2014 Catalog:

When all of a sudden our weather turned to summer hot, despite my milky white shorts I had to make a switch at least for one day…

Jacket - Forever 21
Blouse and Shorts - J Crew
Sandals - Target
Sunglasses - Ray Ban
Necklace, Earrings - Cookie Lee (Vivi)

WEDNESDAY:
I haven't been adding any write-up's lately cause my dressing has been sporodic and by the time I post the outfit I don't even remember which day I wore it and hence what I did that day. But this is recent just from yesterday…
After running errands I went to kids school early to attend my daughter's first girl scout's meeting. And accompanied them to their trip to the local Fire Station bearing girl scout cookies as gifts. The Fireman were so nice (and pretty good looking) and taught the kids all sorts of fire safety and had them tour the station and the engine. The girls had about a million questions and were so enthusiastic and lively…
After we got back we had to sit for hours for the school Talent Show dress Rehearsal for my daughter's turn to come and at the end missed their swim practice and got mexican take out for dinner and came home after a loooong day….

Ratatouille

Today's mint and red combo was inspired by Anthropologie's summer catalog:

I love this silk zip up jacket. So lux looking, one of those hard to believe it is from F21 pieces....

Jacket and Tee - Forever 21
Shorts - J Crew
Sneakers - Converses
Necklaces - From Turkey
Sunglasses - my mom found them in LA

TODAY:
Finally made it to the indoor play area we haven't been all summer so I can work on my job search with a slightly less chaotic environment. Then we went to Kohl's to order my son's backpack which has turned into a major project when he rejected all the star wars backpacks I found him, including the pottery barn ones which were my favorite. Finally found one at Kohl's but they were out so had to order it from the store.  Then we hit the grocery store then to my Dad's to pick him and bring him home with us.
The kids watched Ratatouille again over the weekend and asked that we make the dish just like in the movie. So I looked up the internet and we shopped for the ingredients and attempted to make it when we got home.  The steps were simple but cumbersome as it takes forever to line up the thin slices especially with two little helpers. But the dish did taste pretty amazing and the kids ate their veggies. I might make this for a potluck party or a dinner party as it looks very pretty too....

This was the recipe we followed....

Comic Con Preview

Comic con volunteer and preview night outfit yesterday.... I really had all sorts of grand plans to purchase some stuff to create a cool outfit but never had a chance given the wedding and family visits so put this together literally last minute on that crazy busy day....

Top, headband, sunglasses - Forever 21
Shorts - J Crew
Shoes - Chuck's
Purse - Coach

WALKING DOWNTOWN:

We probably have one of the least desired prints on our comic con bags. My friend got FLASH POINT which then she traded for Batman which was cool. Ours not so much....

The custom SUMMIT t-shirts we got made....
