The days are long but the years are short

Who can really say when I wore this outfit? The days are becoming a blur when I posted so many days later… I try to schedule them now for each night cause I am just so tired at night to log on and during the day I have very little time… I don't know how so busy I am cause the kids are in school a portion of the day but I have to prep for the crazy schedule when they get out so I have to cook dinner and prep snacks and bags and clothes they are going to need for the after school activities and my own food. And it just leaves very little time after I pick up around the house and clean up and get dressed myself plus exercise… It is just crazy….

Inspiration was from the 'Not Dressed as Lamb' blog:

I adopted the concept of graphic sweater over an aqua skirt with cognac boots and purse and a cool fedora. I didn't have a navy fedora so used the brown one which kind of goes with the cognac shoes and purse...

Hat - Jessica Simpson
Sweater - C Wonder
Skirt - Kika Paprika

Ratatouille

Today's mint and red combo was inspired by Anthropologie's summer catalog:

I love this silk zip up jacket. So lux looking, one of those hard to believe it is from F21 pieces....

Jacket and Tee - Forever 21
Shorts - J Crew
Sneakers - Converses
Necklaces - From Turkey
Sunglasses - my mom found them in LA

TODAY:
Finally made it to the indoor play area we haven't been all summer so I can work on my job search with a slightly less chaotic environment. Then we went to Kohl's to order my son's backpack which has turned into a major project when he rejected all the star wars backpacks I found him, including the pottery barn ones which were my favorite. Finally found one at Kohl's but they were out so had to order it from the store.  Then we hit the grocery store then to my Dad's to pick him and bring him home with us.
The kids watched Ratatouille again over the weekend and asked that we make the dish just like in the movie. So I looked up the internet and we shopped for the ingredients and attempted to make it when we got home.  The steps were simple but cumbersome as it takes forever to line up the thin slices especially with two little helpers. But the dish did taste pretty amazing and the kids ate their veggies. I might make this for a potluck party or a dinner party as it looks very pretty too....

This was the recipe we followed....

Skinny Pants

Another two outfit post today to catch-up but in reverse order as I liked today's combo better I am going to show this one first...

The inspiration was from J Crew catalog:

I wore this knit top backwards so the v-neck hit the back than attached the jeweled collar...

I am loving the kika skinny pants. They are just so comfy and feel great all day long.
