FRIDAY:
Crazy day volunteering at school almost all morning then shopping for birthday presents followed up by swim practice and soccer practice but ended with a fun note where my best friend and I took my son to a Revolving Sushi Bar named after our last name. My son unlike many American children absolutely loves sushi but my daughter is a very average child when it comes to taste buds so I left her with my mom while took my son to the restaurant. There was an hour wait for this tiny place located in a strip mall but my friend went early to write our name.
It was such a fun place especially for kids where tiny plates of sushi circle on a belt that revolves around the whole restaurant next to each table. You pull out the plate if you want that item. When you are done you feed the empty plate to a slot and the pad on your table counts the dishes you have consumed. When you reach 15 a little 'hello kitty' surprise toy pops from the gift machine. You can also order items not on the belt and those come in a super fast fashion on an upper belt and stop right at your table. It is just all very cool.
Definitely not cheap though especially when you have a healthy eater like my son. :)

Somewhat conservative but perfect for an outing where my husband didn't come but we were other couples…. THere were lots of comments on my 'portfolio' clutch. Guys just don't get this item...

No matter what we did we were getting those white/red eyes so my friend told me to look down! :)

Soccer games and ballet followed by a fun outing with friends for Dinner and a play while my hubby took the kids to soccer team dinner….

I wish my jacket was a bit longer but I love the look especially with the bright red heels. And I chose my comfy wedges so they were a breeze to walk in despite the height…

TODAY:
We went to Turkish School this morning then I contemplated going shopping but thought better of it and came home so I can prepare for our trip instead. Good thing I did cause there was so much todo. I have advanced shopped for Christmas gifts for the family we are going to see at Thanksgiving so that we can give it to them than and avoid shipping costs. So I had to wrap those. Then packed all sorts of board games and toys and sand toys for the kids. And even packed the kids luggage completely. Paid the bills, cleaned the kitchen and even got out the outfits I am considering taking but I need to test drive them to make sure the combo's work. But feel good about all the work that is done.
Then at night we met the family for dinner to celebrate my sisters's b-day this time with my parents.

It was a tapas place and my son probably the only 6 year old who would order clams in a shell, prosciutto bruschetta. And ate half of my marinated octopus Salad plus 2 rolls of bread. The kid can eat. My daughter on the other hand ate nothing but the rolls! :)
We then came to our house for cake and a show performed by my daughter…
