Sunny Side Up

Today's outfit was inspired by the February 2013 catalog of Nordstrom's...
Having the slightly warm weather allowed me to not be afraid to bear my legs as long as I can layer on top so these outfits are perfect….

Cardigan - Victoria's Secret
Blouse - Lucky
Skirt - Rock Republic
Oxfords,  Necklace - Forever 21

TODAY:
I am still jet lagged. I have to have to go to bed early tonight so I can get up without feeling like the whole world is coming down on me.  I met up with my friend to discuss plans for an upcoming baby shower we are co-hosting while which my parents showed up and said they could take my daughter early so I had a solid block of time which I dedicated to couple projects I needed to work on like the shower planning and sending out invites for my son's b-day etc… Then quickly showered and dressed to go to my son's class room to volunteer then stopped at the library to return books and he did part of his homework then we came home just for him to change and have a snack and my parents insisted they take the kids swimming so yet again I had a block of time which I spent cleaning up and paying the bills and filing.
I was all caught up when the kids came back and we had a peaceful night.
I am going to start another exercise program. I am such a sucker for these things but the whole step by step programs work for me. And all beach body programs have healthy nutrition plans with real food and simple recipes which appeal to me.
This time I will be doing the 'Brazilian Butt' workouts. The description states they have cardio and strength workouts so it should be good. And most are 30 minutes.
I read up all the material and will start tomorrow. Yeah! :)

Every moment red-letter

Yesterday's outfit which I was too busy and tired to post when I came home so late last night…

It was inspired by this look posted on Forever 21's website:

I realize I am treating the navy/green tartan pants as my red/black tartan pants but I think it still goes. I needed a simple and comfy outfit so this worked. I added the wool cap and military style looking necklace and oxfords...

Cardigan - Victoria's Secret
Tee - Stylemint
Pants - Rock Republic from Kohl's
Necklace - H&M
Oxfords - Shoedazzle
Cap - J Crew

SATURDAY:
We were the laziest family ever in the morning all four of lounging in our PJs till it was almost 11:30 AM! But then we had to get up and shower and get dressed. My in law's arrived shortly after and it was too cold and were all too tired to go anywhere so hung around the house chatting, my daughter putting on her usual shows and then playing dominos all together. By early afternoon I got each kid bathed and ready. My son and husband went to our friends' Holiday party. My in-laws took my daughter to dinner and then brought her to her ballet performance. I had to leave much earlier for my volunteering shift in the dressing room of the nutcracker performance. It was a 4 hour shift with literally zero down time!
Absolutely exhausting. Undressing and dressing kids over and over. Fixing their hair, taking them to potty and water breaks, trying to keep them quiet and in line and ready for stage and the most challenging task yet was to apply their bright red lipstick. They have tiny lips and have no idea how to hold their lips and without a liner it was just so messy.
And unfortunately they didn't let me know when my daughter's role was done so my in-laws picked her up after the show and I followed 30 minutes later when every kid was picked up.
In short my daughter didn't go to bed until almost 10 PM and of course still woke up by 6:30 am!

Here is my little ballerina with her grandparents ready for her 4th performance:
She is obsessed by the way watching the professional NYC ballet version and her own youth company version of the nutcracker DVDs over and over and dancing away.

You can only chase a butterfly for so long

Today's outfit for the last day of our trip was inspired by the 'Stylish Housewife' Blog:

She was inspired by someone else so I guess this is the 3rd interoperation of it! :)

Boots - Uggs
Belt - Limited

SATURDAY:
We had leisurely breakfast than packed and went back to the beach with the kids to launch another rocket. The kids love watching it. Although it really stresses out my husband the fear of hitting someone. But we were quite out in the open so it was OK.
We then took the kids to a monarch butterfly preserve that was nearby. Very short hike and great butterfly viewing. Then it was back home for lunch and watching Grandpa ride the biplane.
Then it was a mad rush to pack everything especially the food then load up the car and get on the road. We left around 1 PM and I kid you not did not get back until 8 PM. We did stop for half hour at a playground for kids to get fresh air and then again for dinner but that was it. It was a very long and tiring ride. The kids must have watched 3 movies. They looked like zombies when we arrived home. Got them showered and in bed though relatively close to bed time so that was good.

Heading to a far away spot on the beach to launch the rocket...

Turkey Vulture!

My hubby with his nephew getting ready to light it up...

There it goes...

The kids go after the rocket that came down...

This bee was stuck on this butterfly's wing so she couldn't fly. My husband was able to flick off the bee and they both flew away in their own ways...

And finally my father-in-laws plane ride:
