 I love today's outfit. The inspiration photo has been in my folder for over 2 years now so figured I should wear it before the trends change but amazingly colored tights and fur collars are still in!

Don't you just love the burgundy tights!

I noticed this tiny run in them after I put them on! Who has a run in their panty hose anymore! I was shocked. Of course I was brought up in the era where woman did wear them quite often and knew the trick of immediately putting on clear nail polish to stop the run!

 These shorts are very very old. I was reminded by how old they were by their high waist cut style. I don't mind the HW styles where the zipper is on the side so it kind of holds your tummy like a corset. But this one buttons in front which I hate. But I think at the end it looked fine.

 I used 5 safety pins to fold this fur scarf in half and attach it to my jacket like a collar. I have a collar one but it was too light colored and I like the punch black makes...

 My Chloe purse! I take off the padlock cause even without it it is sooo heavy!

These boots just don't age!

 Did my nails last night. O.P.I. glitter red trimmed by YSL burgundy from years ago....

TODAY:

Spent majority part of the morning at home doing laundry, cooking a crock pot meal and catching up on housework. Stopped at Burlington coat factory to look at dresses for my daughter's b-day party. The party is going to take place at this super messy (but cool for them) art place so my friend and I (we are hosting the party together) want a cheap and cute dress. Of course as usual when shopping for a specific item you can never find what you want. 

After that store dropped off the kids at my mom's since I have a dr appointment in the afternoon and went to Marshall's. Found everything but a b-day outfit.

Might do Kohl's and/or Target after the appointment. 

I got this ridicilously expansive (50% off at marshalls but still pricey) hair product set. Hope it is all that is claimed to be. I will do a more elobarate post if I am happy with the results.

I also found these cutest sandals for my daughter. I can't show them to her though cause she is the type that will immediately want to wear them and can't reason with her about the cold weather!

Aren't they adorable? And at $14 they are a great bargain!

The way I am

 Today's inspiration came from a photo in November 2011 issue of Lucky Magazine:

The whole segment was on wearing bowtie's. and I love finding new outfits to wear my cute velvet bow pin!

 Both the chambray button down blouse and this purse was sadly had not been worn in ages. And just like houses are meant to be lived in and cars are meant to be driven to keep up their maintenance clothes are the same way. They get somewhat dusty and moldy like when they haven't been touched for years. I am glad they were worn today.

 Added the capri leggings under the mini full skirt. You see I can get away with mini skirts with kids ironically if they are stretchy and tight. If they are flouncy and full they are too unpredictable and leggings are a must.

 Wore my old (and much smaller) Chanel sunglasses...

 These loafers are possibly one of the oldest shoes in my closet and have been worn to death but I keep them in good condition by polishing them and keeping them in a box with shoe molds.

TODAY:
Pre School day. Had to leave the school early cause my son feel and cut under his chin on the slide. His biggest complaint was the stupid butterfly bandaid. He hates bandaids for some reason.
We left and got them a Mc Donald's lunch which is not something we do often so it is a treat.
Stayed home in the afternoon and at night watched Cars2 from Netflix.

 Today's outfit was inspired by Gwen's photo in People Style Watch Magazine back in Jan/Feb of last year:

I initially planned to wear my black sandals which would have looked much better but I was so cold that I couldn't bring myself to do it. Not even for photos. Of course at the park it was totally hot an hour into it but still...

This camouflage pants are actually capri pants. That is why I have the boots pulled up. I added the chain covered belt for some edge. The sequined motorcycle cut jacket always looks great. This was a great find/buy from F21. Added a very simple necklace to keep things in simple...

I actually took my Michael Kors purse to the park if you can believe it!? I can't wait till I can trust my daughter with potty so I can stop carrying a diaper purse. I never really use what is inside but the time I need stuff (like when she has an accident) it is a life saver...

The black and white fedora was perfect with this outfit... And I can't repeat it enough. I truly love my two toned hair.

I got the inspiration for these colors from the hat in the inspiration photo. If you scroll back up you will see the hat has black and white and these colors. I thought it would be hard but it wasn't that hard to do 3 stripes. I let each stripe dry to avoid messiness. The light colors are 2 coats and the orange is one coat.

TODAY:
Went to the outdoor class actually on time and we were the first ones there. Kids got to do the messy art with full attention from the teacher. We had leave early unfortunately to take my daughter to the pedatrician and turns out she does have throat infection and started antibiotics. We stayed home in the afternoon and my mom came to play with the kids. My husband came home early and went grocery shopping with my son. It was nice to have mom play with just my daughter in peace. She was so cute putting all her dolls to sleep, taking them to potty, giving them medicine. She even called the doctor on a pretend lego phone and told the dr her baby was sick. It was so cute seeing her imitate me.
