Flame & Fortune

You saw yesterday I wore this same jacket/coat in a very casual combo of skinny jeans and boots and a beanie. Today wanted to show how you can vamp up the same jacket...

The inspiration was from January 2011 issue of Lucky Magazine:
Obviously this was a very 'lady like' combo but I decided to twist it up a bit!

I wore a peplum mini with a window pane graphic top and these funky hose I got last year but never worn to really edge it up. The lita's help of course and the yellow necklace adds unexpected pop of interest...
This hose actually came with additional tie on black ribbon but I wasn't going there..... As it was crazy enough as it is...

This jacket was so soft and comfy all day long....

TODAY:
Started the morning trying to get our christmas card ordered before heading to my mom's house for a play date/party gathering with a new group of Turkish Ladies I have not met before. Always enjoy meeting new people.
Then came home to rest a bit to find my husband and finished the big TV installation and now everything is working. We tried to try out the 3D glasses but they needed to be charged so that will be for tomorrow.
Then went to a dinner party at our friend's house and had a great night.
And a big surprise tonight when we were getting the kids ready for bath after teeth flossing my son's TWO teeth came off. His first two!
It was such a surprise and excitement. One of them actually fell to the floor and the other one was bent out so I pulled it off. Found the other tooth washed them both and blotted his bloody mouth. Luckily we have been talking about this so he was not freaking out. He actually was pretty excited that tooth fairy will come tonight and he expects two gifts!
Even my daughter is excited the tooth fairy will be visiting our home.

Time to Shine

Wore my Kika jacket that I love so much to a stroll on candy cane lane with the kids and friends....
Something about red color that no matter how much I focus all the details get erased some how. I used 'sepia' setting to show the details a bit....

Posing with my little man:

TODAY:
Well we spent the major part of the day at home. My husband was busy for hours with my cousin and step dad trying to install this gigantic TV he got. As you know by know Electronics don't really excite me. I just like things to stay the same once I get used to them. My husband on the other hand loves to get his hands on everything cutting edge. Hence we have a new TV that is apparently with built in Apple TV and 3D and have this new ipad looking universal remote. This is all yet to work but he is working hard to make it happen.
Us on the other hand were busy making gingerbread cookies (my son has been badgering me to do this for days now) and of course he loved making them but didn't like their taste!
Then I had them paint the giant TV box.
During their painting set-up a folding table in the garage as my gift wrapping station and started wrapping. While doing laundry and cleaning up the house. Then got into this ridiculous organizing zone upstairs with my necklaces and nail polishes. Everything is now color coded. Will do photos tomorrow if I remember!

In the evening we met up with our friends at Krispy Kreme for a pre stroll sugar rush then drove in our 5 SUV/Minivan caravan to the candy cane lane area. The kids were a bit confused between Halloween and this event as they kept walking deep into people's yards and touching all the lights. We got so tired of telling them to stay off grass than just started ignoring them. :)

And I got to dress my daughter in this darling ruffle red coat I bought her from Target... Over the british pants/beret set my friend made for her last birthday!

Change of Pace

Today's combo came out pretty cute in my opinion. You never know with these risky combo's sometimes they look great sometimes not so much.

This inspiration was saved very long ago from this online store 'Make Me Chic' website lookbook:
Of course I haven't bought any of these items but I owned very similar pieces to create the combo...

I double wrapped the infiniti scarf to create the cape effect...

Saw this 'evil eye' nail design from ElleSees blog and adopted it right away. My base blue was a little darker but at least I had all the colors at home already. Some evil eyes have yellow in them too. I might try that next...

Hat - was a gift from my mom to my sister and she felt it was too big for her.
Cape - Infiniti scarf from Costco of all places!
Top - Gap
Short - Forever 21
Tights - We love color
Boots - Forever 21

TODAY:
Instead of regular class today we had family PJ night in class in the evening. So we had a free day with my daughter went to Nordstrom rack for xmas shopping. After couple hours treated her to burgers and fries at a diner in the mall and ordered here a 'pink' shake! She had to stand to drink from it!

Then in the evening we picked up a pizza pie and went to the indoor class so kids can have dinner then put on their PJs and listen to stories and watch movies with their friends on pillows and blankets.
My brother and nephew joined us as well...
