Now you see me, now you don't

Today's combo was inspired by last season's Victoria's Secret catalog:
This is not a very creative combination but it reminded me of my lavender jeans which I haven't worn in a while...

My little fashionista just stood next to me and gave this pose....

And this is a true Mommy blogger moment. The kids by now have gotten very used to my quick photo shoots and to stay away from the shot until the timer beeps but than there are times they get into the shot anyway....

Hue Order

A day behind so posting two outfits today to catch-up. This is what I am wearing right now.
I wore it all day and felt very comfortable even though it is a form fitting pencil skirt. That is the beauty of the kika clothes. So comfy yet look very chic.
This bordeaux on bordeaux created the perfect base for me to show case my great find from the newly discovered Thread Sence website's clearance during black Friday.

Isn't this a cool jacket? Faux leather and tulle striped! Lightweight too.

 Shoedazzle purse and necklace...

OUTFIT #2 (YESTERDAY)
Decided to go casual with my military style 'sami' jacket in Olive green.

Saw this idea of cuffed skinny jeans with rugged boots from another consultant's fashion show:

I buttoned it up all the way but you can also leave some open or open all the way....

This is the cognac top I wore underneath:

TODAY:
I am busy with work promoting my sample sales and meeting customers.
Plus had a dentist appointment. Now I am excited about going to our now official 2nd book club meeting to discuss 'Red Tent'. I made this butternut squash with thyme and walnuts and goat cheese mixed with 'faro' grain. Lets see how it all comes out....

Salud

I am so pleasantly surprised on how cute today's combo came together. I love it when an inspiration actually pans out better than I expected.

The inspiration photo:
When I saw this I thought of the deep shades of purple and bordeaux mixed with black and brown. And the hat!

I tucked in the cognac striped sweater. My instinct was to add black tights and boots but the brown actually goes great and the belt pulls it all together.
I have officially decided to keep this skirt (by kikaPaprika)  from my samples. Where else am I going to find a perfectly fitting full skirt that has a tailored look and yet machine washable and no ironing needed!

This hat was my Grandpa (rest his soul) and I love wearing it....

Hat - Vintage
Sweater - Forever 21
Skirt - kika Paprika ('Brit')
Boots - Newport News
Belt - I do not remember as it is very old.
Necklace - Cookie Lee
Coat - Ann Klein

TODAY:
Went to see a play with my daughter's class. It was an odd story called the 'stinky cheese man' apparently a book where they change the happy ending of every fairy tale or children's riddle. The kids were more confused than entertained so it was a bit of a miss I think.
The cool thing is it is a Jr. Theater so all the actors are high school age kids or younger which sets a great example to the kids seeing other kids on stage.

Tonight going to mommy's night event through the organization that helps form mommy groups.
