Island Breeze

This is what I wore to a work show tonight. First idea was to pair this aqua and white combo with brown belt and shoes but felt a bit too predictable so decided to add the coral red belt and red heels and voila it was the perfect pop I was looking for!

My 'sneaker' wedges from Turkey has Nike's air technology and super bouncy and comfy!

Kick Start

Today's outfit was inspired by the January 2011 issue of In Style Magazine:

The combination was simple but very usable...

Added cream colored accessories...

If I could do it I would have loved to wear my super high cream wedges but even these were pushing it for a long day with the kids. I managed though...

Jacket, Tank, Bangles - Forever 21
Skinny Cargo pants - Target
Wedges - Victoria's Secret
Ring - from Turkey
Sunglasses - Romwe

TODAY:
Had a long outing with the kids today. Went to the mall that is known to be very kid friendly but apparently they are undergoing some major construction and all the kid areas (the park, train, jumpy were all gone) Even the food court that used to overlook the ice skating/hockey ring was closed off. At least the photos on the walls of what will be built come November kept the kids hopeful. We shopped for new sunglasses for them as my son has outgrown his old ones. Living in Southern CA even the kids need sunglasses on a regular basis. We then went to the indoor play area instead of coming home. Since my daughter rarely naps I figured they can just play there and there won't be any clean-up to do afterwards. When it was time we left for the Karate classes and even got there in time to fit in a grocery shopping before the class. Of course my daughter was exhausted and literally passed out on the way home. She was so tired that I couldn't wake her up even after transferring her to the living room couch and turning on the TV. Finally got her up for dinner. My son on the other hand was like the Energizer bunny playing baseball outside after we came home. I wish I had his energy!

Flash Pop

Tonight's outfit was inspired by a tiny corner photo in the March 2012 issue of Bazaar Magazine:

Here is the close up:
I created about 4 different outfits with this thrifted neon trench and this was a nice add on...

I love my old Kate Spade clutch!

The satin grey based animal print heels were perfect....

Trench - Nine West (thrifted)
Satin piped capri's - Forever 21 (very old)
Satin heels & Cuff bracelet - Forever 21
Clutch - Kate Spade
Ring - Mom's

TODAY & TONIGHT:
Had a fun morning taking the kids to see Peter Pan the play at the Jr Theater played by middle and high school kids. It was great and the kids even my 3 year old watched it without a peep. I love that the kids love performing arts because it reminds me of my grandmother taking me to see children's plays every Sunday morning.
Took the kids to my mom's in the afternoon to meet my friend and her sisters at a Fashion event in a local mall called 'Cocktails with Style'. It is just a promotional event but it was all free with free drinks and apps and fun give aways. Afterwards we stopped at Ikea than ate dinner at Ihop cause we were still starving!

Kids playing with the snails after the play at the lunch area:

My son said he was giving the flowers to the snails so 'they can fall in love!'

Here is a different scene from tonight:

Beyond the Obvious

Wore my marni maxi dress during the day both on Saturday and Sunday. Great dress to throw on with no effort!

Dress, Accessories - Marni for H&M

This was the outfit I wore Sunday afternoon for our return to home from Las Vegas...
The inspiration:

 Jacket - TJ Maxx
Top - sister's
Jeans - Newport News
Sandals - Victoria's Secret
Necklace - Betsey Johnson
Beaded bracelet - Target
Bronze bangle set and cuff - Cookie Lee

And finally today's outfit:

Inspiration from the JCrew catalog:

My evil eye necklace was a simple accessory to the clean lines of the outfit:

I just love the idea of dressy slacks with sneakers and adding the white belt really ties it all together. Such a simple idea but yet unique...

Since it is still chilly out (driving us crazy to have chilly weather in Southern CA in May) had to add a cardigan to the outfit. What better than the new light 'Hailey' jacket from the Kika Paprika line I sell:

The back is longer than the front and ruffled edge...

So light and airy...
Cardigan - 'Hailey' in white from Kika Paprika
Blouse - La Redoute
Pants - from Turkey (Yargici)
Belt - Forever 21
Sneakers - Rocket Dog
Necklace - from Turkey

OK so all these outfits should get me caught up with Tuesday finally!
As far as activities go we are having a busy week with Legoland field trip on Monday, park class today and the Peter Pan play will follow tomorrow!
