Oh Yoko!

I am officially a day behind but oh well.. This was my outfit yesterday (Monday)...
I had an inspiraiton photo for this from Anthropologie catalog but forgot to take a picture.

The idea was pairing a jewel toned velvet blazer with a fun tribal top and flared jeans and boots...

MONDAY:
Pre School in the morning and afternoon was spent home catching up on home chores and recovering from the crazy week last week. Even got in an oil change after school paired with lunch. When you are a mommy with no childcare everything is a hassle and a project. I was happy to discover an oil change place that was walking distance from lunch places so we got it done without kids waiting in a dirty waiting room. I am so close to winning a challenge with work so making bunch of calls to make things happen last minute. It could happen. We shall see...

And the Oscar Goes To...

Why would a mother of 2 who is almost 40 wear short shorts with thigh high boots? Because she 'can'!
OK, so I wore this knowing I would only be seen my girlfriends in a house party but still. I got lots of comments from the girls in the lines of  'pretty women' on Hollywood blvd! :)

 If you think about it though I am actually showing very very little skin. The outfit is really just sweater, shorts and boots. But the fact that they are thigh high makes all the difference I guess...

SUNDAY: Went to a fun Oscar party at my friend's house. She went all out with the decorations and even laid out a red 'carpet' in front of her door for us!

My gorgeous mother posing in front of the poster one of the guests brought. She was at the make-up artists party last night in LA and got the poster there!

Own The Moment

Oh my goodness, I am so behind in posts. I have had a crazy weekend with two shows so it has been hectic.
This was my outfit yesterday (Saturday). I totally forgot to take my photos Friday night! :(

 This is another all 'kikaPaprika' outfit. The skirt can also be worn as a strapless dress and you can see it works great for fall/winter as a midi skirt worn with boots!

My husband caught this shot as I was changing poses and captures my two tone hair quite well!

 

 

My new 'Karen Walker' sunglasses. 

Ordered them after seeing them on Bee from Atlantic Pacific. Love them!

Added red touches to the cream and brown earth toned outfit!

 Layered two necklaces and I think it worked...  This top has a high neck so it can work with short or long necklaces. It was tough to decide.

So the pieces I wore yesterday were in earth tones.

FRIDAY & SATURDAY:
As I said I had two parties this weekend and had amazing sales and so much fun. Friday night was at my mom's house with her neighbor and friends from her card group. Saturday night was at my friend's house with her female relatives and a friend. I am truly enjoying dressing up ladies and having fun with the outfits.
And since I set my own hours I can adjust the times of the parties where I get to still spend time with the kids before and after. My husband has been great this week as it was a week from out of this world with something going on every  night! Plus Dr appointments.
I will post today (Sunday's) outfit sometime tomorrow. Going to watch the Oscar's with the girls at my friend's house. CAN NOT WAIT to check out the red carpet!
