Girls in Sand

Another so so outfit today. Some days I absolutely love the outfit, some days, I am not crazy about them and some days like today they are just OK. The inspiration for this one came from the photo below:

I swear I had the same shade sage green pashmina scarf which I hadn't worn since I bought it so I that is why I had put this combo in the list. Except this morning I couldn't find the scarf anywhere so wore this scarf instead. I do love this scarf as it has the best colors that really go great with everything.

I tied the scarf loosely around my neck like a 'snood' is that what they are calling those long circular scarfs?

Here is a close-up:

The grey patent boots compliment the grey crop cardigan:

As you can see my mini helper is in every photo pretty much. She was so eager though I couldn't resist allowing...

I originally had plans to meet a friend for an hour this afternoon which is why I had planned to wear these boots and this great purse. But she ended up cancelling so I wore my rugged boots this morning and uggs in the afternoon.

Today's Activities: Went to our outdoor preschool class which takes place at a different park every week. My daughter decided to use the park as a trainning circuit and climbed every possible ladder thingy so I had to be by her side all the time. After naps we skyped with my hsubands east coast family to wish his 92 year old grandpa happy birthday. Then visited the indoor play area again where my mom and step dad joined us to play with the kids. Came home to meet my dad who joines us for dinner which I had cooked during nap time.
My little angel:

These little girls somehow all gathered together at the park this morning to play. So cute. My daughter is towards the left...

Babydoll pink

Not super crazy about this outfit. It is just OK. I do love the schiffon top and the argyle crop cardigan though. The ugg boots do not look the best but I just wanted to be comfy today.

This cardigan is very comfy. It has a hood that is lined with cream tulle. Just great detail. The hot pink scarf is from Turkey. It is very light and always stays perfectly crinkled. The pink bracelets were great at keeping my daughter distracted during my son's circle time at preschool.

This schiffon top is a great thrift find. I love the roses and the polka dots and the colors. It is too open on the fron though so wore a tank top underneath.

was too lazy to take off the cardigan completely so hiding it behind my back! :)

Bracelets and scarf - from Turkey

Today's Activities: Monday mornings are always so rough. Never totally prepared to start the week it seems. Made it to preschool regardless and amazingly on time. Cooked and finished laundry while the kids napped. After they woke up my sister came to rescue from work and we ran a marathon of errands: Car wash, bank, dry cleaners, post office and grocery shopping all under 2.5 hours! Couldn't have done it if I couldn't leave the kids in the car with her most of these stops. Came home to dinner. My son figured how to open his room door so last night was another sleepless night for all of us. Tonight we put a latch on his door. Hoping we can somehow train him to stay in his room until morning before we all go insane.

Checkered

Re-wearing this suede looking dress I bought and wore this past summer. I guess it has been a weekend of  re-using some summer outfits. Somewhat appropriate since during the midday it is like summer here.

I thrifted this jacket for only $12. It has the perfect colors of brown, taupe and green and is a great cut to pair with dresses or jeans.

Here is the outfit when I took off the jacket which was majority of the day...

All photos taken in front of my mom and stepdad's house by my stepdad.

Today's Activities: Since I got 10 hours of sleep last night, woke up at 6 Am and got everything ready to head to my mom's as soon as the kids woke-up. It is so cold in the mornings that I couldn't dress the kids in their day outfit so took them in PJs and jackets and I wore leggings and sweathirt (2 actually). Had a great breakfast at Mom's and hung out there till it was time for us to go to my friend's son b-day party. They had a good size jumpy which the kids loved. Brought them home for naps and the whole family napped. It was bliss. When we woke up got ready and went to our friend's house for a dinner party. Great Italian food by her Italian husband. Lovely night.
