On a magic carpet ride

This was my outfit on Sunday. I am behind again in posts....
The inspiration was from a piperlime Ad in Lucky's March 2013 issue:

It was a cute combination of yellow sweater and blue heels with a bright necklace...

The colors of this necklace is so pretty....

Sweater - Victoria's Secret
Jeans - H&M
Heels - Zappos
Necklace - Babule Bar
Bracelets - J Crew

SUNDAY:
We had a super crazy busy day as I guess we usually do. Met my mom and the kids at the Turkish school in the morning and from there we went out to lunch with my sis than had my daughter try out flower girl dresses. She was in heaven of course at the bridal store. Felt bad for all the brides in our section as she stole all the attention and admiration from everyone around her. She insisted on getting on the podium with each dress and twirled and posed like she was born to do this.

We then had my son fitted for a suit as he is going to be ring bearer but he was less than enthusiastic about the process unlike lil sis...

Then it was rushing to meet the whole family for a super fun birthday dinner celebration for my little nephew who turned 2 already!

We also celebrated my incredibly smart brother getting accepted to Harvard Master's program!

The cutest photo ever!

All Dressed Up

This was my outfit yesterday during the day. My inspiration was from J Crew's March issue:

I liked the idea of pairing a sweet print top with the tweed blazer. The kika Vera tank in this floral Valencia print and the tweed Carly jacket were good pieces to re-create the look. I could have gone with longer pants but wanted a summery look with the capri's. They have a satin side stripe which make them look very dressy.
Added touches of neon on the necklace and the purse which picks up the tiny yellow in the tank...

Jacket - 'Carly' in peony tweed by kikaPaprika
Top - 'Vera' in valencia print by kikaPaprika
Satin striped capri pants, belt, pink necklace - Forever 21
Neon necklace - Park Lane
Cuff - Stella & Dot
Heels - Boutique 9
Purse - H&M
Sunglasses - Vouge

FOR the NIGHT I had to swap the top because this top is actually a size big on me and if I took off the jacket it would show how big it was... So put on a top from my closet but I think the tank looked much better. Also changed the shoes to a black and white pair:

 The top is Guess
The heels  are Rock & Republic
Clutch - Charming Charlie's

SATURDAY:
Had a busy morning of running some errands while my husband took our son to his t-ball game then dropped him off at my mom's. I had a work open house the entire afternoon and had a great time styling some old and some new customers. Sold a lot of 'portia' maxi dresses and of course my namesake 'daphne' jacket. At night we went out with my husbands tennis friend and his girlfriend which I had recently met and it was instant connection. Had a great time over dinner.

You’ll miss the best things if you keep your eyes shut

This was my outfit yesterday. I was so tired last night that didn't even have the energy to log on.

This combo was inspired by the 'Late Afternoon' blog...
Like Atlantic Pacific she is one of those power house blogs that have amazing followship and the outfits she posts read like a fashion magazine. So does some of the brands as well.
So this is the cheaper version of her combo...

I liked the idea of combining animal print with sorbet colored stripes and a tweed jacket.
For daytime I swapped the nude heels with gold metallic loafers...

I just love love love this shoe dazzle bag! And I totally use it to the park and pre-school. It is so roomy but looks perfectly structured and always the same size! When my hands are full I put on the long strap cross body.

Jacket - H&M
Top - TJ Maxx
Jeans  - Forever 21
Heels - Steve Madden
Necklaces - Forever 21 and shoedazzle
Purse - Shoedazzle

YESTERDAY (FRIDAY):
Had another fun egg hunt at the park this time with our indoor class but for Easter we had a field trip to a local park. My daughter got a chance to showcase yet another one of her pretty dresses she got from family on her b-day. This one is from my Dad and he picked it out all by himself!
After school I dropped off my daughter at my mom's then went to our tax appointment than did some shopping and even though I went to pick up my daughter she insisted on spending the night there so came home alone and after a 1.5 hour of workout we were wiped out.

She is big on doing the 'courtsy' now!

Story time before the egg hunt....

Then the kids wait with the egg crates. Helps them count and stop after collecting a dozen eggs.

With her best pals... Enjoying their treats....
