I tell myself that I am not afraid

My outfit yesterday… Inspiration was from Atlantic Pacific:

I had saved this inspiration years ago I think. Even though I am somewhat getting dressed every other day. My heart is just not in it. I feel out of shape and blab and mostly the emotional drain inside totally shows on the outside I feel.

Blazer - Gap
Top - From Turkey
Belt - Vintage
Necklace, Leggings - Forever 21
Flats - Tilly's

WEDNESDAY:
We try to create joy and fun during a very difficult time and there is nothing like family to do that...

Life is a Party

Yesterday's casual outfit was inspired by a 'favorite look' from J Crew's website this month...

I love how by adding a structured blazer you can make a very casual tee and legging and sneaker outfit somewhat chic. I also added the animal print baseball cap cause my hair needed a hat. :)

Jacket - Gap (thrifted)
Tee - Old Navy
Leggings and Cap - Forever 21
Sneakers - Superga

MONDAY:
It is Christmas brake for both kids so we made quick plans for a playdate. But first it was swim practice for my son. Took my dad this time since it is very warm during the day and usually his practices are at night after school this was a perfect time for him to watch without freezing. After his 45 minute practice we came home and met my friend to do lunch at the house. Then we went to a playground park that is in front of a bay beach and met another friend there as well. So 3 mommies, 6 kids we stayed there for 4 hours and let the kids enjoy the summer like weather in December. But my goodness when it hits 4 PM that temp starts dropping soooo fast. We came home for a cozy dinner and had a nice fire and caught up on TV shows with my friend.

The Panther

Got too tired again last night to post so here is yesterday's outfit.... Inspired by this tiny photo:

I first put on my white fedora like the inspiration photo but it just didn't look right for some reason. So instead wore this white lace baseball cap and I think it is more on trend this way...

This tee is a bit much so it was more contained under the jacket...
I do love this simple thin cuff necklace though. Especially with sporty outfits and graphic tee's it adds the perfect edge/glam combo.

Blazer - Gap
Top, Necklace, Tee, hat - Forever 21
Shoes - Enzo

YESTERDAY:
I always start these re-caps with 'it was a crazy day' cause it seems to be always the case and yesterday was no exception. We went to the indoor class and there I took over my friend's two little ones as she has a family situation. After school I took all 3 to pick up my son. So after that with 4 of them we came home. I served them lunch and luckily all the kids were good eaters so that helped. Then the boys went up to play. My little princess hung solo and I put the little princess to nap after a bit of rocking.
In the afternoon it was cookies and fruit for snack than their mom came to pick them up and we rushed to swim class. During swim class I ordered the take out Greek food and got those kids showered and dressed out of there in 8 minutes which I think is record breaking. After picking up dinner we went to my friend's house and my hubby met us there so we can have a family dinner with them and celebrate their new baby. It was a bit tough getting the kids to get out of there and come home after a short visit but we managed. Then it was another psycho insanity tape at home! You can imagine how tired I felt afterwards and yet I never seem to want to go bed at nights. If only I felt that way in the morning. It is just brutal in the mornings...

Here is a photo from Preschool where my daughter and her friends wore these fluffy masks:
[my daughter is at the right end in mint pants]

And here are couple photos from our visit to my friend's house for dinner....

Since they live 30 minutes away, I always take PJ's and toothbrushes with me and get them totally ready for bed before leaving their house. In case they fall a sleep but we were not so lucky last night....

Bye Bye Laguna

This was my outfit today. The inspiration is again from a photo in a very old issue of one of the magazines:
Great combo to remix my red dress and the khaki blazer.

Dress, tights, necklace, shoes - Forever 21
Blazer - Gap (thrifted)

Going to be keeping my posts very very short for a few days until I get all the stuff I need to for my business.
Miss reading all your blogs but will visit very soon... Just need to get caught up....

Good Morning Sunshine

Today's outfit was inspired by a photo that has been in my folder for quite some time. October 2010 to be exact! From In Style Magazine:
I loved the 3 layered top and another opportunity to wear my super old green cargo pants!

I layered the denim shirt with the very old tweed vest and khaki jacket on top!

Everything I am wearing is very old except for the hat. This was a new purchase from TJ Maxx a few months ago!

These pants are at least over 15 years old. I actually gave them up and my mom took them. They were extreme low riders and very tight and just not wearable. When I went back to my college size I took them back but the super low rise problem was still there. In Turkey got belt loops made so I can wear a belt to hold the pants in place and now I wear them sooo much! Good thing cause they were purchased full price back in the day!

The boots look so rugged and old but they actually looked like this when purchased!

Khaki Jacket - Gap (Thrifted)
Vest - Banana Republic (Thrifted)
Denim Shirt - from Turkey
Pants - Bebe
Belt - Limited
Boots - Steve Madden
Hat - Jessica Simpson (TJ Maxx)

TODAY:
My husband surprised me last night by giving me my Christmas gift early! He got me the fully loaded with the latest PZD technology camera lens that goes from 18mm to 270mm!!! I took it to the outdoor class this morning to try it out!
People said with my outfit today and the camera I looked I was ready for some Safari!

And got some great photos of the kids in the park:

And I couldn't resist sharing this one! My husband took this in the morning to try out the lens himself. Priceless!
