WEDNESDAY:
Ah, I am back to normal… My stomach is still a little uneasy but I feel like myself again.
Went to boot camp in the morning. It was brutal after taking off a week and a half. Plus I am doing this 1 day juice/tea cleanse from Vitality Tab. I got it at half price at groupon. The tastes were interesting. Don't think I will do this tea version again but might try the juice one or go back doing suja…
It is weird, I know but I was talking to my (7 yr old) son about it. He is such an old soul. It was like talking to a friend. He read with me the description of each juice and what it does. He, like me, is all about new tastes and experiences so he wants to taste them all. Even tasted the super spicy morning one.
It actually is not as hard because I was sick all day Monday and barely felt normal Tuesday eating very little so I think my stomach is already shrunk. Hoping to shed the extra 5 lbs I have seemed to accumulated before swim suit season arrives and in San Diego that is like in a month.

The feeling after the boot camp was marvelous. Forget how oh so good you feel after a hard core workout. Love it. Going again tomorrow...

City Girl

Yesterday's outfit was inspired by Zara's lookbook:

Vest - Forever 21
Tee - From Turkey
Tartan Jeans - Rock Republic
Booties - Steve Madden
Bracelets - Cookie Lee and Baublebar

WEDNESDAY:
Went to my daughter's class and then came home for lunch and filling out paperwork then went to the Elementary school to register the princess for Kindergarten! Still feels surreal that she will be starting school. We finished up right when it was time to pick up my son. Went to the frozen yogurt place for a little treat before swim practice. My parents met us there and came back home as I cooked dinner.
Still working out every night. I love the feeling I get after I finish the work out and shower and put PJs on and come down to sit! Best feeling ever…
To ensure I don't flake I put on the exercise clothes when we get home late afternoon so I am ready to hit 'play' as soon as kids go down…

You would think I'm crazy

Today's outfit was inspired by Victoria's Secret VS Edit for Fall 2013:

TODAY:
I feel weird. Like my dad is still with us. I feel he is just away. He will call or we'll see him very soon. Of course I know it is not true but that is how I feel. Very odd.
Kids of course still ask questions non stop. About death, about cancer what causes it  why can't it be cured, who gets it, how do they get it?, what happens to soul when you die? what happens to the body? What does God do with Angels? If a kid dies do other Angels show them how to fly cause they are too small? It is endless. It sounds cute but when you are grieving it is all a bit overwhelming. I try to answer to best of my ability but it exhausts me….

We went to our outdoor class today for another valentine exchange frenzy. My daughter can't wait to come home and go through each one.

My friend who is in a singing chorus delivered a singing valentine for our class:

I started the new book for our book club that is meeting in one week so I have to hurry up but the book is really engaging so it is easy.

My aunt and cousin came over for a traditional Turkish tea. It was great hanging out with them but of course with my daughter a big chunk of the talk revolves around her… She also set-up her porcelain tea set and served us tea too. :)

Then I had my cousin try on some of my kika samples and went and picked up my son from his after school playdate and came home for a frenzy of homework, dinner and bed time routine…
My cousin was so exhausted at the end and was probably glad she decided not to have kids. :)

Today's combo was inspired by this Chictopia post:
I love this slouchy pants with relaxed top, leather jacket and an animal print cardi that peeks out.  And of course the hat…
I had to dig through kids closets to find these old slacks to get the vibe...

TODAY:
OMG today was insane. We went to my daughter's pre-school but before hand stopped at Target to get her a new car seat. She had outgrown her existing one for months now and we have been dragging getting a new booster seat. So just did it this morning.
After class rushed to my son's school since he gets out early all this week for parent teacher conference meetings. Then went to costco for grocery shopping, came back home to unload it all. Rushed to my Dr's but after waiting for an hour and realizing we will still have to wait had to re-schedule and leave so we can make it to my son's swim team practice. Now I have to go back to the Dr's again tomorrow. What a waste of time.
When we came home I had an hour to cook dinner and get ready and hosted 8 friends for our book club meeting.
It was a great meeting. We just finished 'What Alice Forgot' by Liane Moriarty:

It was an absolutely amazing book. The best I feel we have read so far. Totally self reflecting and brilliant writing as the story is told from 1st person but different woman's point of view. Thick book with small font but a super fast read. It is not a suspense book but you can't seem to put it down. I would highly recommend it.

And the new book we picked for next month is, 'The light Between Oceans' by M.L. Stedman:

I love our book club. The ladies and the discussion is always so enlightening and entertaining.
