Left of Center

Another casual look. I am just in love with this sweater (below) so I wear it again and again. This time paired with slouchy slacks and added sneakers…. Plus the trench on top...
The inspiration was from PSW Oct 2014 below…
I was initially going to add a teal colored sweater but it was too boxy over the slouchy pants and just didn't fit right so went with the black and white instead but added the teal trench for pop of color…

Trench, Sweater - Lulu Lemon
Shirt - J Crew
Pants - H&M
Sneakers - Superga
Earrings - Forever 21

SUNDAY & MONDAY:
Had a nice relaxing day taking my daughter ice skating in the afternoon. I even grocery shopped and finished loads and loads of laundry so I can star the week all ready to start my nutrition plan and workouts as I had to take a week off due to my flu.
I went to watch the Oscars at my friend's house and I just wasn't hungary to eat before.
BIG MISTAKE…
I mixed up salty, sweet and spicy snacks and junk food mixed with white wine and raw veggies from the veggie tray.
Well the combination proved to be deadly as I threw up all night and all monday morning and it just drained me.
My friend joked when I told her that this was one way to start a 'cleansing'!!!
My parents came to rescue once again and picked up the kids and took them to their activities so I can continue getting it out of my system. Pulled it together just enough to go to my son's final basketball game Monday night…

After ice skating it rained for a little bit then sun came out and saw this beautiful rainbow:

What I Forgot

Today's combo was inspired by this Chictopia post:
I love this slouchy pants with relaxed top, leather jacket and an animal print cardi that peeks out.  And of course the hat…
I had to dig through kids closets to find these old slacks to get the vibe...

Boots - Steve Madden

TODAY:
OMG today was insane. We went to my daughter's pre-school but before hand stopped at Target to get her a new car seat. She had outgrown her existing one for months now and we have been dragging getting a new booster seat. So just did it this morning.
After class rushed to my son's school since he gets out early all this week for parent teacher conference meetings. Then went to costco for grocery shopping, came back home to unload it all. Rushed to my Dr's but after waiting for an hour and realizing we will still have to wait had to re-schedule and leave so we can make it to my son's swim team practice. Now I have to go back to the Dr's again tomorrow. What a waste of time.
When we came home I had an hour to cook dinner and get ready and hosted 8 friends for our book club meeting.
It was a great meeting. We just finished 'What Alice Forgot' by Liane Moriarty:

It was an absolutely amazing book. The best I feel we have read so far. Totally self reflecting and brilliant writing as the story is told from 1st person but different woman's point of view. Thick book with small font but a super fast read. It is not a suspense book but you can't seem to put it down. I would highly recommend it.

And the new book we picked for next month is, 'The light Between Oceans' by M.L. Stedman:

I love our book club. The ladies and the discussion is always so enlightening and entertaining.

Casually Slacking

In the interest of catching up with are going with two outfits in one post from the same inspiration page .
This page is from Sept 2011 issue of People Style Watch. My folders are getting so big and I simply do not have enough days to wear all the outfit ideas I have. So some are getting old like this but they still feel current so here it goes....
You can see below how I mark my inspirations by the way. I take notes next to the photos as to which pieces from my closet resemble the outfit. Then I assign a number and add it to my excel spreadsheet! I know, I know I lost you at 'excel spreadsheet' but that is me! :)

First outfit inspiration was this green pants, blush blazer with burgundy heels combo:

You can see I modified this a bit. I didn't feel like a button down blouse today so wore this white top my sister left with me (sometimes she leaves clothing at my house without an explanation)!
I also felt too cold to wear purple wedges so wore my bordeaux doc marten style boots instead. I like the contrast it creates with the dressy top. The necklaces were also more interesting. Her outfit seemed a bit plain.

what can I say this eagle necklace is my new favorite. It kind of increases the 'cool' factor in all my outfits! The colors are perfect and it is a pretty heavy and high quality necklace. Sometimes F21 can surprise you. The 2nd necklace was an amazing find from Anthropologie clearence rack for $10.

These boots are more practical than the originals as they have  a side zip so I never fuss with the laces which is somewhat of a requirement for me with the kids.

Jacket, Eagle Necklace, belt - Forever 21
Top - Topshop
Long necklace - Anthropologie
Bracelet - Charlotte Russe
Pants - Bebe
Boots - Target
Sunglasses - House of Harlow

2nd OUTFIT:

So I was going to add my more grey pants and white blazer to match this better but I felt cozier with the grey blazer and honestly I didn't care enough to search for the grey slacks in the kids closets and reached for this pair in my closet instead.
Since they were too long I couldn't do white sneakers but added my wedge sneakers instead...

The eagle again. :)

I think everything is pretty much from Forever 21
except the sneakers are steve madden and
the tee is from Target...

TUESDAY:
Went to the outdoor class then had to leave early to pick up my son from school as they have half days all this week. Met a group of kindergarten mommies for a playdate at a park closer to the school. It was so nice getting to know them better and forming relationships. The kids had fun too.

WEDNESDAY:
Went to the indoor class then my parents picked up the kids and my hubby and I have our first parent teacher conference for my son. I am then meeting the girls for happy hour!

Free Spirit

This was my outfit on Wednesday...

Inspiration from a very old issue:
I am trying to wear all these old and simple inspiration outfits before they become ancient...

Definitely not the best hair day. Hat would have been great...
I also had plans to accessorize with a necklace and/or earrings from my own sale collection but never had the time and forgot afterwards...
Vest, Pants, Belt - Forever 21
Tee - TJ Max (twilight brand!)
Boots - Newport News
Purse - Chloe
Watch - Michael Kors

WEDNESDAY:
This was a crazy day. Took my daughter to pre-school then directly went to pick up my son from Kindergarten as it is their half day on Wednesdays. Then came home for a literally 10 minute break to feed my daughter lunch and distracted my son from his hunger with a new toy then dropped off my daughter with my step-dad and took my son to his dentist appointment. He had fillings for 5 cavities! Which is just outrageous cause this is the healthiest kid who hardly eats anything sugary, drinks no juice or milk and we brush at least once if not twice a day plus floss. Now he is on fluoride treatment as well which takes close to 15 minutes just to do his teeth every night.
He was so out of it afterwards crying cause he didn't want to keep the gauze in his mouth etc... I babied him and played with his new marble track set then fed him the soft lentil meal my mom had made.
Gave both kids a bath and put them to bed early! I am exhausted these days with different school drop offs and pick-ups and hardly any down time...

THURSDAY OUTFIT
Today's outfit was Inspired by the January 2012 issue of Anthropologie catalog:
The top is this really cool print shirt mixing pink stripes and green florals....
I created the same effect with a neon pink striped tank top and green floral scarf on top. For cool times added a light green cardigan on top...

Here is my attempt at the hair/head swing! :)

Decided to top the scarf with this big yellow daisy necklace from 'Send the Trend'...

Tank Top, Belt - Forever 21
Scarf - H&M
Necklace - Send the Trend
Watch - Asos
Boyfriend Jeans - Newport News
Wooden flatforms - Bloomingdale's

THURSDAY:
Today will be another crazy day... Dropped off my son at Kindergarten came back home for a bit to finish tidying the house then went to indoor play area for some play/work time and my daughter's Ballet Class. This will be followed by picking up my son, cooking dinner for the whole family, dropping off my son at Soccer practice and having the whole family for dinner at our house for their last night before they leave for Turkey.

Here are some photos from my Daughter's outdoor class on Tuesday:
