What I wore yesterday to work...

Inspired by one of the looks I had pulled up from Pinterest when I first got this tailored vest...
Adds the just right amount of layer without the bulk...

WEDNESDAY:
Work was meeting after meeting and the second I get off and go direct to pick up the kids the real chaos starts. Actually yesterday my mom picked them up as they get out half day and I met them at home but then my son had to change asap into protective clothes to join a paintball birthday party and my daughter needed to shower and put on ice skating clothes. Dropped off my son with my friend to take to her son's b-day party and then another friend took him to the batting cages at where my husband met them to bring him home. All this coordination takes hours of  work of texts and e-mails and phone calls going back and forth!
I then took my daughter for her back to back ice skating during which shopped for birthday cards and gift wrap and managed to actually sneak in a very quick bikini shopping!
I saw this bikini that had potential at the window of sea folly and debated the hassle of undressing and trying on instead of eating my dinner but figured I would regret went ahead and tried it on. It looked great! How luck was that. So I didn't eat until 8 PM but it was worth it.

Must be the money

Well, I have started working!
This is what I wore on last Thursday...

So there will be some dressier and more conservative output posts coming up in the next following weeks...

Fashion wise, it is exciting to get to dress professionally again at least for a little while...
I tend to still show a sense of fashion style in small doses while keeping it finance professional.

I also decided I would start very basic and simple and slowly break in funkier pieces to create a solid first impression...

So 1st day's inspiration was from H&M Catalog:

Has the look of a suit but these are not matching pieces.  The pants are moto leggings actually and the jacket is part of an old Tahari suit I had.
Layered it with a sleeves chiffon top that has cascading ruffle detail in front for point of interest....

 Jacket - Tahari
Top - Target
Pants - Nordstroms
Heels - J Crew
Earrings - Baublebar

A Cut Above

What I wore Tuesday night to my husband's company dinner...

Inspiration from this Pinterest post:

Simple and professional without being too stuffy and the pop of orange and animal print still allowed me to express my fashion sense... And of course the wrap around choker too...

Turn back time

My outfit on Thursday for my son's birthday dinner at a Brazilian Steak Restaurant per his choosing...

The inspiration was from this Bloomingdales or Nordstrom Lookbook photo:

I got to wear my velvet  bow choker necklace... Asos and Topshop was selling similar ones and so was Baublebar but at much higher prices. So I got this from Forever 21. It came with this cheap rhinestone charm in the middle and I took it out and love this simple look so much better...

Cape Coat - TJ Maxx
Blouse - Cotton On
Choker - Forever 21
Jeans - H&M
Heels - J Crew

THURSDAY:
Still trying to heal by injured sholder blade and resting most of the day besides running errands.
But in the afternoon. Took my son to swimming and rushed direct from there to the restaurant downtown for my son's birthday dinner with the family. The boy ate soooo much meat it was impressive. And had crab legs and sushi on the side!
