Make the Most of it

 What I wore last Friday....

Inspiration from Cabi's current season look:

I love these quick and casual looks you can create with cabi pieces and still look very chic but feel comfortable...

I actually used the cabi tank from their fall line...

House Call

I had something else planned to wear today but woke up to rain and immediately wanted to wear a combo that involved my rain boots and of course from no other than Bee:

It really was the perfect amount of layering I needed today. The skirt felt a tad too short for my daily life but the amount of layers and OTK socks and tall boots made up for it....

Trench - Guess
Denim shirt, belt, skirt, socks, necklace, scarf - Forever 21
Boots - Henri Bendel

TODAY:
Pre-school this morning which happens to be the last day of falls semester and wednesday the new semester will start.
We had a dual purpose playdate afterwards. My daughters two close buddies came over to play while their mom checked out my clothing line and shopped the samples. It was fun playing dress=up. The girls were so cute trying on Juliet's shoes and night gowns while we were trying on outfits.

I had picked out these cute skinny red jeans with this top for her but she went with leggings and a tutu instead and packed up more dress-up accessories in her little purse.

SATURDAY PARTY:
The party was so crazy busy that I took very very little photos. Which I am kind of bummed about....
Oh well, the memories will have to last in our minds now...
The party was insane with so many kids but it was fun. There were people everywhere, lost shoes and running kids and boys and girls fighting and chasing. After the parents with kids left and we put our little ones to bed we played catch phrase with the adults that stayed behind which was so much fun....

With my Dad and hubby. We had planned to take more photos like these before the guests arrived but our time was cut short with early arrivals....

 Princess girls...

My BF got the kids stompeez which they were ecstatic about since they watch the commercials!!!

Tipping couch game during the last minutes of the party...

Oxblood

 Today, participating in the
Bloggers Do It Better
Oxblood Event
by

For this I picked the 'paige' top from my Kika Paprika collection in the perfect shade for this competition. We call it 'Bordeaux' but it is the perfect shade of 'oxblood' especially on this fabric.

The inspiration was from the August 2012 issue of Lucky Magazine:
I love the combination of oxblood with teal and the unusual combination of the red heels. I also duplicated the white collar and rhinestone bracelets which I think create a nice contrast against the deep hue of the top...

TODAY:
Had a nice breakfast out with family (my in-laws) although I wasn't too keen on waking up so early but we have to given that our kids get up by 6:30 AM and are always starving. After a short walk past breakfast we said our good-bye's and I headed off to Turkish School with the kids.
With only an hour break in between we then went to our friend's house to see their new home and have dinner together. It was a nice relaxing night with good friends... If weren't so lazy and into enjoying our night I would have taken some great photos of the kids playing together. The girls dressed in princess clothes giving each other princess check-ups and the 4 boys doing a break-dance dance off.
