In a League of Your Own

Saturday night's outfit was inspired by the every so famous Bee from Atlantic Pacific:

I had a purple furry coat but it was too cropped so went with the blush shaggy coat for a similar effect….

The outfit looked cool even without the jacket or the hat. The differences in texture and shapes add interest even though the whole look is black...

Can you see my little guy playing basketball while still in his baseball uniform in the background?
The kid never sits down...

SATURDAY:
Busy day with Ice Skating and Baseball game and team snacks….
My son is a true rock star in Baseball. He makes hits and catches that get so much applause. One catch the opponent team's coach actually stopped and went to shake his hand it was that amazing.
I am such a proud momma sitting in the stands watching him.
We hung out at home afterwards with my parents. Then they took the kids but I had already made plans with girl friends so my hubby went out with a friend as well.
A great night over margaritas and chips and salsa…

Up till Midnight

 Here is my NYE outfit….
The graphic shift dress with leather sleeves, topped with the shaggy blush coat and my iridescent booties it was quite a hit...

These boots are just so cool. They looked so funky on the website and when they had that 40% off sale I snatched them. So unique and eye catching!

NEW YEAR's EVE:
We woke up early so for once I can join the family for breakfast. Even my dad woke up in time to come with us as well. After breakfast out we came home to relax but then started getting ready for the big night, showering, preparing appetizers, hair, make-up, nails overnight bag packing etc…

We went to our friend's house by 4 PM to start the night. This is our third year in a row spending new year's eve together. 4 families (8 adults, 8 kids) we order dinner, party, have the kids do east coast new year's at 9 PM then put them to bed, play games, drink more and all crash at my friend's big house then wake up for a big breakfast together cooked by our host. The kids love it and so do we.
They even get small fireworks and the kids get such a big kick out of it…We also do mean dance competitions on WII.

We got the kids in PJs before their 'east coast' new year's….

Dancing away to Wii

Playing Gestures….

Finally NEW YEAR's EVE

HOPE YOU HAD A GREAT NYE AS WELL…

Everyone Dancing Merrily

Yesterday's Inspiration was inspired by an old post from the carri fabulous blog which has been discontinued….
This soft and romantic combo had an interesting color palette of mustard browns and blushing pinks...

Here was the base outfit when it was warm...

This top is just so ridiculously old. and sure enough when my daughter asked me to reach for something she dropped in the car it totally ripped under my arm. I am going to see if I can fix it. What a shame. Some clothes are just not very mommy friendly...

Who knew I would use these boots so much. I would normally wear my leather cognac boots but given their small heel I have been reaching for these flat ones for more comfort...

It was nice to wear this coat two days in a row before I hung it back in the guest room closet with all the other faux and real fur items...

Top - Newport News
Scarf - very old. I can't even remember from where

WEDNESDAY:
It was my daughter's first performance in the nutcracker wednesday morning. It was school day so all the audience was schools on a field trip including our preschool class. Therefore all her friends were there to watch her. We first saw them and said hello then I checked her in and went in with my dad to watch the show. Her tiny part is in act two in the land of sweets. She was adorable. Totally did what she was supposed to but with a 2 minute delay but it was so cute.
When her part was over I was able to check her out then snuck her back in the theater so she could watch the remaining of the performance and loved it.
I was so happy my dad was able to sit through the whole performance with minimal pain and we came home afterwards and right after lunch he went to bed. I washed up all the hair spray and make -up off of her and we went to pick up my son than came home for homework and preparing dinner and went to his swim practice then came home again. It was pretty exhausting.

The gorgeous historic theater the performance takes place...
