CALL ME

Today's outfit was from a very old inspiration back in March 2012 from a Limited Ad:

I think it is still current enough to wear… It was chilly though so I sub'd capri's instead of white shorts….

This adorable pouch was a mother's day gift from my lil sis…. She hand picked the sayings on it as well as each one was slightly different...

 Trench, Capri's - Forever 21
Top - Old Navy
Sneakers - Superga
Sunglasses - Betsey Johnson
Purse - Kate Spade

TODAY:
It was a crazy day. Went to the outdoor class then stopped at Target for returns and purchasing booster seats then made it in time to the carwash as my car was disgustingly dirty. Then direct to my son's school to pick him. We had hardly any time at home to change them and empty the car and switch the laundry load then my step dad came to take my son to his all star baseball practice and I took my daughter to her make-up swim lesson. When we got home again it was a mad rush to get her showered and dressed and packed. Then cooked dinner. My son came home and my stepdad took my daughter to my parents house. I showered him and gave him dinner while skyping with my brother.
Then it was time for bedtime reading. My hubby took over towards the end and I started my new brazilian butt lift workout. It was cardio today and more dancing but amazing how much I sweated and could totally feel my abs working over time. Love it so far.
If I thought today was crazy I don't know what tomorrow is going to feel like. I am booked back to back with insaneness...

All Wrapped Up

Yesterday's outfit was inspired from a look in J Crew's 'looks we love' section in January 2014:

It is basic nautical colors but I loved the add of metallic silver sandals...

Jacket, Top, Pants, sunglasses - Forever 21
Sandals - BCBGeneration from shoedazzle

SUNDAY:
We had a leisurely morning but the time change made that time go by so fast. I didn't nearly get to do everything I wanted….
But we got ready and went to our Turkish friend's new house for a BBQ in this gorgeous weather we had in San Diego…

Instant classic

Saturday's outfit was inspired by the Dec 2013 'looks we love' segment of J Crew Website:

I loved this combination of rust and white with tan colors and adding animal print heels for pop of pattern...

Got a color touch up and went a little with darker highlights for contrast...

Trench - Guess
Tee, Capri - Forever 21
Heels - Boden
Necklace - J Crew

SATURDAY:
We had a nice day planned. after a lazy morning of watching some olympics cuddled with the kids who had already returned from their breakfast outing with Daddy we got ready. I took my son with me for my hair cut appointment and he got his cut while my color was setting. My hubby took my daughter to her acting class then we met close to me for lunch and swapped kids. I took my daughter to her 'Ballet Buddy' event at the ballet school while my hubby went home with my son.
They assign an older ballet student to younger ones for mentoring and fun. The event was valentine's day cookie decorating and they show cased mini scenes from upcoming ballet performances.
Of course parking was horrendous where we went and we were 15 minutes late but still got there before the event started…

After we got home and my husband had heated up the jacuzzi fort the kids. My son started DIVING!
Didn't know he could do that from the high wall but I guess 3 days of swimming gives him confidence. He kept doing beautiful dives from the high wall into the ice cold pool.

Then my mom surprised us and said she could take the kids so we immediately got them showered and dressed and dropped them off. I spent an hour with my cousin at my Dad's house emptying out closets which is a dusty and emotional ordeal but had a lighter tone cause we were together and could joke about the pieces he held onto and the sizes he fluctuated from…

Then I came home to pick up my husband and we had a very nice dinner and a movie date night!
You can't ask for more from a Saturday!

Grouchy Ladybug

Trying to catch-up on outfit posts.... This was my outfit Sunday for a work event.... Wearing Kika Spring pieces as the weather was finally warm for a change...
Doesn't these colors/pieces just scream spring to you? I love them... And even though I went casual with flat sandals brought the glam back with high shine gold accessories...

Peplum back and cropped front....Got to love my namesake jacket....

I have been eyeing this style sandals by Dolce Vita for a while so it was a happy moment when my sister spotted them at Nordstrom's Rack for half the price!

'Daphne' jacket in Ocean by kika Paprika - $85
'Charlotte' top in meadow print by kika Paprika - $64
Twill Capri pants in white by kika Paprika - $88
Dolce Vita sandals
Bauble Bar necklace, Guess earrings, asos cuff
Karen Walker sunglasses

MONDAY's OUTFIT
Well the weather has cooled off once again. Such a bummer too. But that is OK gave me a chance to try out the new skinny pants added to Kika's summer collection. My goodness are these the most comfortable pair I have ever seen. They fit and feel like leggings but are thicker and with mock front and real back pockets they look like pants so you can wear something short on top as well. The fabric is ponte knit but made with organic cotton instead of polyester so it totally breathes and does not cause your legs to get hot. So soft too... The waist band is flat and soft and stretchy but not elastic nor does it have zippers or buttons.

I topped with grey and white pieces and allowed the hot pink jacket to just pop....

The boots I snatched from Kika's runway with a spot and all but I love them....

'Natalie' tencel twill jacket in peony by kika Paprika - $135
'Lil' tank top in steel grey by kika Paprika - $40
'Skinny Pants' in black by kika Paprika - $90
Hat - $20

MONDAY:
Went to my daughter's pre-school, then came home for a quick lunch and rushed to my son's school to help out the kids get into their costumes for a class play! The teacher gave me the task of dressing for little girls in 'fire fly costumes' which involved footed tights, leotards, tutu's headbands and wings!
For the tights and leotards they had to take off everything and none of them could put on the tights by themselves so it was a challenge for sure but they looked adorable.
My son was a 'lobster'. The play was called the 'grouchy lady bug'.
My mom came to watch and my daughter was 100% focused during the whole play. Then they had a little cupcake celebration before the school ended. Afterwards we went to his hip hop class. Full Day!

Our teacher with the kids help did all these decorations you see on stage! I had volunteered a few times to help kids paint!

My son the lobster on the far right....
