So what if we drink?

Last night's outfit was a collaboration of couple inspirations actually.

One was from Forever 21's lookbook:

The other was from a SHOPBOP look book:

The concept was the same: leather pants harem stye or skinny topped with a white top and the shaggy blush pink coat and a clutch and heels.
I could have gone with the satin jogger styles pants I have but leather felt more right for the night.
Plus I felt a silkier white top was better than a white t-shirt. And couldn't resist adding a bit of accessories. Black and white ankle cuff sandals blended with the skinny pants so nicely.

I also tried a slightly different hair style last night. Used a curling iron instead of a flat iron to create soft waves.

All my friends will confirm that this coat looks shaggy and wiry but it is actually super soft and so touchable and totally keeps you warm and I kept it on all night and it felt like a cardigan.

TUESDAY:
We skipped the outdoor class cause it was such a late night from the rehearsal the night before and it was still very cold. We took it easy and showered and got ready and went to the indoor play area for a little while then did costco shopping and came home to unload then rushed to pick up my son and came back home. I got ready to go out while my husband and dad sat down to dinner with the kids.
Met up with the girls starting with happy hour. We felt like we had so much time before our dinner reservations but time just flies with them and we even had to push it back so we had time to finish our wine. Then it was to the restaurant for a nice holiday dinner. I always leave these night with just such amazing feeling of warmth and joy. I could never imagine life without my girlfriends...

Happy Holidays with my girls!

You get a sentimental feeling

One of my mommy friends at pre-school gave me this fur vest. A friend had given it to her and she insisted she would never wear it and wouldn't know to style it etc. It is a very cool color and reversible. Although I feel it was a bit larger on me but I pushed the extra material back a little. :)

The inspiration was from the Garnet Hill Catalog for Winter 2013:
I loved the pairing with the lavender jeans and adding a southwester feel to it with booties and feathers...

MONDAY:
Went to preschool in the morning. Then off the indoor play area for job search. After picking up my son we came home to cook dinner and tried to part of his homework. My mom and stepdad came over to take him swimming while I fed my daughter and got her ready for dress rehearsal and photo day for her nutcracker performances. My mom came with me to take her. She was so wired to be leaving the house in the dark and she was literally giggling in pure joy when we applied make-up on her.
We went lighter since it was photo day and just a rehearsal. Although for the performances I will have to go heavier cause you can see from the stage photos she looks washed out as opposed to the super bright look she has when were at home!

Oh, While we were at home though she was in the garage working on something. She came out with a gift bag that had a tissue paper wrapped 'gift' inside she prepared for the Sugar Plum Fairy.
She managed to remember the bag when we left the house and when we arrived at the rehearsal. The ladies at check in were very nice and one of them took her to the sugar plum fairy's dressing room so she can give her gift! It was so cute. Totally her idea. She is just mesmerized by her.

The parents were only allowed to sit in the back 5 rows and were not allowed to move or stand to take photos and no flash. So the quality is not the best at all. Good thing is they take professional photos and we will have them in 3 weeks.

And here is my son mocking the lipstick application!
He was also warning me how I shouldn't be teaching these to her cause she will go and do it herself!

 Looks so much older!

Here they come. She is the 2nd one in line coming to the stage between the sugar plum fairy and his prince or 'her boyfriend' as my daughter calls him!

Oh, I forgot to post what our crazy elves have been up to yesterday.
They got into the rainbowloom stuff and he was making himself a necklace….

And last night he finished and put it on and they were sleeping in my daughter's princess doll bed in her room!

Baby it is cold outside

Another outfit from a very old inspiration. The Ugg Ad in October 2011 issue of Vogue:

It usually just doesn't get that cold in San Diego to wear such outfits that is why these old inspirations were still left in the folder. But this weekend's weather was perfect to support a big fur snood all day long!

SUNDAY:
We started the freezing cold day with Turkish School. I met up with my brother-in-law for coffee while the kids were in school.  My mom joined us and together we drove to our local parade. First though we had to stop at the house to add additional cardigans under the coats and stocked up on hats and gloves.
We met up with friends and parked in front of our friend's house and walked down to the parade. It was so fun cause so many of our friend's school's had floats in the parade and we got to wave at so many familiar faces. Even my mom ran into her friend who was walking with her dog in the parade.
I have to say it was by far the longest parade I have ever seen but kids loved it. So many candy canes were given you would think it was Halloween. Then there was a little festival in the park nearby but the mommies could only handle the chilling cold for so long so we walked back to my friend's house to de-thaw and ordered mexican food and had a great time the rest of the evening!

Don't you just love their jackets!? I got them both at JC Penny.  My son's was on clearance for $15!

I think i switched off the auto focus button by mistake so this photo came so blurry! :(

Here are some of our friend sightings in the PARADE:
