I have been soooo sick during one of the busiest weekends of our lives so it has not been a great combination. I am finally starting feel remotely normal so decided to start slow and picked a very casual outfit for today...
The inspiration was from the May 2011 issue of People Style watch!
Either all the pieces I picked today are weirdly baggy or I lost some weight during my strep throat period cause everything felt super loose. My shoes and hat still fit so good to know my feed and head are the same size still! :)
Denim Shirt - J Crew
Tee, Pants, Hat and boots - Forever 21
Sunglasses - House of Harlow
WHAT I HAVE BEEN UP TO?
Well, I woke up with severe pain in my throat Friday morning on the 5th birthday of son as we had planned to go to Disneyland. Afraid to break my little man's heart I just went with it. It was awful I was in so much pain and all I wanted to do was curl up in a bed and yet we walked for miles in the heat in an amusement park. Not the happiest place on earth when you are sick as a dog I have to say.
My hubby was a champ taking most of the load on himself. We, well I, lasted until 5 PM then headed home in awful traffic to add...
The next day I crashed as my hubby took the kids for the
Pre School talent show and graduation ceremony! I was so sad to miss it but I couldn't even move. My friends who were so sweet took photos though and sent them to me...
But I still had to work Saturday night cause I knew I would never re-schedule it. I managed with taking two dayquils back to back to endure it then crashed again.
You would think I would have a break on Sunday but no can do since that was the day we hosted a birthday pool party for my son for 49 people!!!!
You know just a small gathering! :)
Look how awful I look. No make-up, hair not brushed. Wearing jeans and a hoodie. I didn't even have to tell my friends I was sick. The fact that I was not dressed on my son's b-day they knew I had to be very very sick! :)
But look how happy my little guy is!?
So most people when they are sick spend a few days curled up in a bed in PJs until they get better. As you can see from the photos above that was not the case for me!!!
Wow, that is a REALLY busy time- especially when yo'ure feeling miserable. Glad to hear you're feeling better. I love your hat :)
ReplyDeleteYou were a trooper babe. Glad to leave close to you that I was able to drag you to the emergency and get medication! You forgot to list the doctor and the Kika party you did Saturday night !!!! That was over the limit but you did it! Do not over do it like that again your body will crash before it's time. The worst was I was also sick with Laryngitis at the same time:( I do like your casual outfit and the boots were so nice and warm because it feels like fall instead of summer nowadays!!!!

I was thinking about you today and starting to worry about your absence. You post so regularly that it stood out. I'm glad it was something only temporary. It's reassuring to see you back in Blog World.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better! Sounds like you had it bad. I'm so sorry, Mommies never get to just rest it seems!
