Take a Bow

Last night's outfit going out with the girls for an 'anniversary dinner' special at one of our favorite restaurants. As I said yesterday I didn't have to change but wanted to try out this funky combo…

Got the idea from the Mosschino Ad in Vogue's Sept 2013 issue:

It was more of the concept of mixing red plaid tartan and black and white together.. Any new idea to incorporate my lita's which I absolutely love… I feel 6'9" in these things and they are so solid and comfy...
So I layered the tunic length button up blouse with a faux leather collar under the short sleeved sweater which is part of a twin set from sooooo many years ago.
Then I added the plaid and studded leather bow barrette's as pins and also this military looking necklace...

Oh and this is a new addition to my hat collections. Called a 'boater' hat. Has a much different feel than a fedora.

I left after the kids were bathed and eating dinner. My son ran up to pose with me in his PJs. He is getting so tall even with my Lita's on. :)

Don't let the sun go down

Tonight's outfit was inspired by J Crew's October 2013 catalog:

I scored this (real) leather top on an ultimate clearance at Nordstrom's rack and fell in love with it. It is stretchy cotton in the back so totally wearable. I loved the idea of topping it over a denim shirt and skinny jeans and metallic heels with a statement necklace.

TUESDAY:
My mom had my daughter and my son was at school so I had a good portion of the day to get the house in order laundry done and put away and most importantly wrap xmas presents while no kids were in the house. That took a lot longer than I anticipated but I did get it done. Then ran very quickly and got my nails done which was heaven without any kids with me. Then it was a sprint of grocery shopping and then picking up my son and trying to fit in homework and his snowman art project. Then the whole family was there and the kids were having a blast with their little cousin and family members.

My mom was dressed so cool last night but she didn't want a solo photo so here she is posing with me:

My son's snowman project which we did very quickly with his grandpa's help...

SATURDAY NIGHT:
After lounging at the pool and resting in our room we got dressed to go out to dinner with the family. Per recommendation went to a very nice chinese restaurant that had just absolutely yummy food.
Then it was back to the resort for an early surprise birthday celebration for my hubby from his parents…
