End of an era

Saturday day outfit was inspired by this photo which I think was from Forever 21 website:

I wanted an outfit that was cozy and layered as the day started very early and I am cold at those hours...

Knit Jacket - Thrifted
Tee, Pants - J Crew
Belt - Zara
Booties - Betsey Johnson
Purse - Guess
Necklace - Bauble Bar

SATURDAY:
What a crazy day to start off the crazy weekend.
Woke up super early and got myself and my daughter ready for her Pre School Graduation and talent show. We had signed up for 'set-up' duty so went early to help out.
She looked gorgeous in her 'Elsa' dress and hair….ready to sing the 'Let It Go' song for the talent show… Among many girls who sang either the same song or other songs from the movie but I have to say when she started singing there was not a single noise from the audience. Even the little children hushed to listen to her acapella singing….
It was a tough day for me as I have been in this program for 5 years now and next week would be my last week being with these teachers and the parents that have become part of my life and family.

WIth my gorgeous mom!

Baja California

Day after Christmas outfit enjoying our santa ana winds and mid 70s weather in sunny San Diego…

Inspiration from Forever 21's look book:

Jacket - Thrifted
Top - Closet I think. It is very very old
Pants - Bebe (another ancient item)
Booties - Betsey Johnson
Purse - Guess

THURSDAY:
Had a relaxing morning. Even though the house was screaming to be picked up from all the xmas stuff I didn't have it in me. We met up with my friend and her two kids at a rec center park and had the kids ride their new razor scooters and play in the playground. The weather is silly with warm dry breezes blowing. We had lunch in the strip mall across from the park then went over to my friends house as the kids begged to continue the playdate. Very relaxing day. But tomorrow I have to clean-up...

Are u a good witch or a bad witch?

This was my outfit on Tuesday morning. My inspiration was from the Victoria's Secret summer catalog:

I liked this all green outfit with brown touches. I didn't have a dark green scarf though so added my soft muted colored Ed Hardy scarf instead...

These wrap around bracelets have become my staples. They are so easy to wear with the kids as they are soft and do not clunk and so easy to put on with snaps.

Scarf - Ed Hardy
Tank - Target
Pants - Bebe
Belt - Limited
Heels - Forever 21
Bracelets - Bauble Bar, Cookie Lee and from Turkey

TUESDAY and TODAY:
The days are busy and loaded with my husband out of town and me towing two kids back and forth from school to activities to running errands and dealing with our broken appliances.
Had a parent night at my son's school last night while my sis and brother in law came to babysit. I wasn't feeling great though so I actually shed this whole outfit and put on a comfy jeans and a hoodie.
Today I tried to motivate my son for the run club in the morning so put on gym clothes and stayed that way the whole day.
Have you guys heard of 'Rainbow loom' bracelets? Made out of mini rubber bands? Apparently popular among at least elementary school kids. One boy in my son's class made him one and another boy said his older sister is going to make him one too. My son barely acknowledged these poor kids in front of me but may be he talks to them when I am not there cause they were so friendly to him. So today we went to MIchael's and had to get the $17 set for him to make his own. And of course none of the michael's coupons apply to this brand. What a shocker. After many tries we figured out the basic model. The good thing is he can make them on this own. We'll see if we can figure out the more complicated patterns.
He is going to make some for his friends now.
It made me remember the friendship bracelets I used to make in high school so I told them I will make them one if I can actually remember how after all these years....

TODAY:
I am coming down with something I feel. Totally dragging these days which is not good as it is so close to my sister's wedding. We also started my son in this free tennis clinic that is every morning for 2 weeks. So it is killing me to wake up and get out of the house that early.... He is loving it though...

And we are enjoying the arrival of my aunt and my mom's cousin from Turkey....

And this afternoon I met my sister and the other bridesmaids to get our nails done for the wedding...
Lots going on....
