Women are meant to be loved, not to be understood

Friday's outfit for the Zoo Field Trip and the book club meeting at night was inspired by this photo in September, 2011 issue of People Style Watch:

 Jacket - H&M
Tee - J Crew
Jeans - Forever 21
Purse - Thread Show
Boots - Mia
Bracelets - C Wonder

FRIDAY:
It was a very full day.
2nd field trip to the zoo this week this time with my daughter's kinder class.
I was in charge of 2 other little girls besides mine and once again was reminded how much 'drama' little girls could have.
It was funny comparing to the field trip on Tuesday where I was in charge of boys who are super high energy and jumping all around but totally laid back with no drama.
Girls are interesting for sure…
It was so cute to watch their enthusiasm though. Even though they all have been to the zoo many times it was their first field trip with their kinder class so they were besides themselves. It was tiring though.
It is like at every point change you have to keep track of the kids under your care. It tires out your brain. Other parents that had less kids though were very helpful and we hung together and worked as a team
which helped.

Once we returned waited for the bell to ring and there was this usual friday afternoon impromptu play date requests under the pouring rain. At the end dropped off my daughter at her friend's house but took the brother of that little girl to our house to play with my son and then another little boy was dropped off. Short play date though cause he had swim practice during which I dropped off the other boys and picked up my daughter and came back home totally exhausted. BUT, was all ready for my book club outing with the ladies…
We met at the same bar as their happy hour and quiet setting suits us and it is close to most of our homes. We had a great discussion on the book we just finished ('Maude' by Donna Foley Mabry) then picked our next meeting date and book (Moody Bitches by Julie Holland)…

At the bar there was this sign that we loved….

Reptile Walk

Today's simple and casual outfit was inspired by this Chictopia Post:
I should have added some cuffs and feather earrings may be, now that I am looking at this photo closely but I was not quite so inspired this morning.

Top - H&M
Shorts - Forever 21
Boots - Target

TODAY:
Took advantage of the fact that school is out and met my friend who I don't get to see often anymore at the zoo. The kids enjoyed each other's company and we totally took it easy and let them play and caught up with each other's lives.

Got this super cool hat for my son.

 150+ year old tortoises….

My daughter remembered that last time I didn't let her use these massage chairs so this time she packed all her coins and they went to town on what they called the 'buzzing chair'…. Who knew?

After the zoo I went direct to Sprouts for a long and complicated grocery shopping trip for the new nutrition and exercise plan. My son was so happy he wound his new passion these chia squeeze fruit puree snacks. They are super healthy and he loves them.
After we loaded up the car we realized we would barely make it to his first swim practice! Rushed home and unloaded the car in turbo speed while he changed into his swim suit. And we managed to make it there. Oh my goodness did the temp drop. Next time I need to pack some clothes for myself. The kids were totally fine in the pool even though it is not that warm in there but they are working their butts off. He must have done 5 full laps all different drills swimming close to 300 yards in half hour. Then the whole group went into the jacuzzi to warm up.
We came home so I could cook what turned out to be very delicious fish tacos with fresh grilled halibut, corn tortillas, avocado slices and shredded cabbage.  The kids gobbled it up.
After the kids went to bed we did the first work out. It is still insanity but just shorter so easier in that sense but no breaks at all and warm up and cool down are not really party of the 25 minutes.
I can tell I need to get back in shape!
