Saying Good-Bye

This was my outfit yesterday (Friday)... The inspiration came from the Nov 2011 issue of Glamour Magazine:

I wore the animal print crop cardigan backwards to have the high neck part in the front. And the vest is longer so covers the cropness of the cardi.

FRIDAY:
After Preschool and naps we had a huge group of people at our house for a going away party for one of our friends who are moving away. It was absolute chaos but so much fun at the same time. The boys went a bit out of control and demolished my daughter's room but thank goodness to the 'army of mom's' as my husband called we managed to put it back in order.
I realize now it is not just our kids that build friendships. Without realizing we have built such amazing friendships and connections and you don't realize how much they mean to you until the possibility of loosing them. My friend and I were in tears and it is going to be such a hard separation. I don't think our kids who are great buddies are going to hurt as much as we will.
I thought after a certain age separations and good-bye's were behind us but I am reminded again how much they hurt.
Have you said good-bye to a good friend lately?

Will miss you so much!

Put your heart into it

I am so sorry I am behind with the new business things are just so busy right now...
This was my outfit today inspired by a photo on the cover of Anthropologie magazine in Dec 2011:

YESTERDAY & TODAY:
We went to legoland yesterday and my hubby was off work so he came with. It was a great family time.
In the afternoon my parents took the kids and I conducted my first house party at my friend's house.
I was nervous at first but it went very smooth. You can never tell who is going to be all into it and who is not. The funny thing I packed everything and forgot to take out the pieces I had planned to wear. So I had to dress up at her house and therefore only took a couple quick photos...

And here I am at my first show:
Do check out the Kika Paprika blog for amazing outfit inspirations created using the pieces from Spring Summer collection!
I wish my shoes were in it cause they had gone perfectly with this super cute jacket.
The jacket is called 'sophie'. It has an asymmetrical collar and looks great and feels amazing!
I paired it over their capri leggings.

Floral December

Today's outfit is from the same inspiration page I wore from last week... There is still one more inspiration photo on this page!
I liked how the floral top was mixed with stripes. Great opportunity for me to wear the summer Tee in December!

TODAY:
It was the last day of the Preschool today before a 2 week break. We had a potluck holiday lunch and Santa came to give each kid a book gift.
Late afternoon after my husband came home I went to meet up with a few other mommies from the preschool for a game night at one of their houses. It was nice cause it was a group of ladies I don't know that well so this was a great opportunity to get to know them better.

My daughter insisted on wearing t the new dress my SIL sent for her for Christmas today:

The hair bands were part of the gift as well...

THe first time my daughter sit on Santa's lap willingly and without crying!

Reindeer Games

Today was one of those days where the outfit looked better on paper and in my mind than in reality!

The inspiration was very new from the most recent December (2011) issue of Lucky  magazine:
I actually 2 other outfits on this page that I will re-create...
I like the top portion of the outfit. Allowed me to use this super old floral thermal top I have owned for years. It is so soft and comfy. I have always worn it with seats and leggings as lounge wear so it was nice to wear it dressy.
And getting wear my new shearling bomber vest! Such good quality all around. It even feels like real leather and the fit is great.
I added the earrings I got a few thread shows back. They are made out of recycled old records!
These are also new. Since the pair I wanted from piperlime had sold out I decided to go the cheaper route to obtain what I call a 'heeled hiker' boot. I am just not sure about my Dennison to add teal socks. I really wanted a chunky sock look but didn't have any pair of socks that worked with that!
I had truly adored the polka dot cream tights from JCrew last year. So this year I got these as a gift from sister from Romwe. They are not exactly polka dots but pretty close.

TODAY:
Had a fun day. At preschool a group of mommies were assigned to assemble the gingerbread houses. The kids will get to decorate these next wednesday in class. We were constantly surrounded by little pairs of eyes who were quitely begging for graham cracker scraps and frosting!
In the afternoon went to my Dad's house to decorate his tree. The kids got a hold of this old tinsel decoration and created a big mess but they sure had fun jumping on my dad's bed and singing from the top of their lungs with their uncle and auntie!

They sure are not perfect but the kids won't care, especially when they get to cover it with more frosting and candy!

And here are some fun photos from tonight at my Dad's House:

This is an ornament I made from cross stitch back in 1993!

My kids have stockings in both my mom and my dad's house!

Then the jumping and singing on the bed activity begins!

My crazy children!

My daughter with my SIL. She could be hers!

My cutie pie Nephew!

The tree is done!
