TUESDAY:
My daughter wore a new summer dress in the morning from her Grandpa Neal and she looked so pretty.

Went to the outdoor class at the park. The teacher had the kids make medals for art then set-up an obstacle course for them to run through at the end of the class….

We left the class early and went to costco to grocery shop and also get snack for the class for Friday. Then it was coming home to unload and put away all the stuff we got which is the part that I hate and takes forever.
By the time we made lunch and ate it was already time to go pick up my son. When we got home there was homework and cooking dinner and after they went to bed working out…
I can already feel stronger as I enter the second week of working out. I am modifying a lot less. Or at least I start the moves the same intensity then modify towards the end etc…

Anything but Basic

 Wore this dress that I haven't worn in a while. It was actually residing in my daughter's closet. Quite comfortable with a nylon like material. Dries fast too. As a mom I constantly get wet so that is a good quality. :)

I haven't worn this Marni (for H&M) necklace in a while too. So good to give these pieces life again.

This is weird but sometimes I envision my clothes have a voice of their own. Kind of like the toys in the toy story movie. And they get all sad when I don't wear them for a while. So I feel I made this dress, necklace and the shoes very happy today.

 Having fun with selfie poses lately. Instead of the tripod and timer I just hold the camera and snap. ALthough with the heavy SLR and special lens it is quite an arm exercise to hold it up in one hand.

TODAY:
Uneventful day of preschool and picking up son doing pizza wednesday at his school. Going to the dentist (he has another cavity!). Back at home putting up Halloween decorations (we really need to obtain more stuff). Dinner out where my friend met us. Now catching up on TV shows with my friend...

SATURDAY:
It was another insane day. Started the morning with an hour of weight lifting since we had skipped Friday night. Then rushed out the door to meet up with the family for a birthday brunch which was a lot of fun. I was already sore from sitting right after working out.
My sister and I decided to hit a mall that is further and indoors for something different and the best perk was the H&M there has a kids section. Shopped for great outfits for the kids. Then went to Nordstrom's to shop for a french cuffed shirt for my son to wear at her wedding and shoes for both of them.
He is going to look so cute in the coolest dress shirt with slacks and vest and a bow tie and bright blue converses!
Forgot how nice it is to shop at department stores where they do everything for you and you feel so pampered. No wonder people who get used to that can't step into a TJ Maxx.

As soon as we got home and got the kids to bed did another hour of kickboxing. I was wiped out to say the least....

SUNDAY was not easier. Got up early to take the kids to Turkish school than my friend came over for a photo shoot which I will start my 'who is wearing kika?' segments next Monday. As she was leaving my other friend came with the kids so we can leave the dads on a playdate while her and I went to my other friend's house to watch the red carpet and the Oscar's. I had this great idea to wear something funky but I was so wiped out that I just went with what I had on which I had not even photographed. Oh well....

TODAY:
Outdoor class with my daughter where we had potluck halloween lunch but I forgot to put a costume on my daughter so she was not super happy.
We have had some eventful past few days...
Holiday (Kurban Bayrami) dinner at mom's house...
Spent Monday with my nephew and had parents over for pumpkin carving at night... And that morning my son got his first award for his love of books and good citizenship! First of many we are thinking. We were so proud, I was fighting back the tears...
