Show your Spirit

Thursday's outfit was inspired by the look on the left below from Nordstrom's website...

I liked the concept of a bohemian blouse over white bermuda shorts with nude sandals...

Necklace - Sapata
Sandals - Steve Madden
Bracelets - Cookie Lee

THURSDAY AND FRIDAY:
Those two days were filled with my volunteer commitment to my kids' school. I took on the choosing styles and colors and ordering logo wear for the school. It has been quite an undertaking but the sales are going well and I am so amazed and how appreciative everyone has been and how eager to help.
It really is an amazing community…

Snap out of it

I think this was my outfit on Tuesday! I am so behind and the days are just running into each other.
Some days I manage to take the photos but most of the time I rarely have time anymore to edit and upload.

The inspiration for this was from the Victoria's Secret Catalog:

This top reminded me of my ruffle front tribal print top and the leather jacket combo was perfect.
Plus added the new marni necklaces for some fun pops of neon colors...

Leather Jacket - Costco (weird I know and I can't remember the brand and too lazy to get up to look)
Tribal top, jeans - Forever 21
Necklace set - Marni for H&M
Boots - Newport News
Sunglasses - Karen Walker

WHAT HAVE I BEEN UP TO?
Monday was pre school followed by grocery shopping and preparing for the crazy busy week.
Tuesday I managed to take two work calls while taking the kids to the outdoor class at a park. Then went to target for last minute shopping and came home to prepare the house for the open house I was hosting starting at 6 PM. I asked almost all family members to come to help. My mom came first, then my dad, then my sister and her fiancé. They took on kid and dinner duty while my mom helped me with the guests and hosting the show. Thanks to all their help things went very smoothly. And it was a fun night dressing up my pre school mommy friends.

Ikat tank and harem pants

This was my outfit yesterday as we left to car shop!
The inspiration came from a Eliza's blog called 'Dear Eliza'... She was displaying her purchases from shopbop I think:
This outfit reminded me of the tribal tank I got and that I could pair it with the harem pants and my red flats and a motorcycle cut jacket. So, there it is:

The coral and turquoise feather necklace looked great with the colors...
Broke in my  new purse - bday gift from my mom and step dad.
Here is the link! My mom found this at TJ Maxx for $40! Isn't the purse and her for finding this for such a great price amazing!?
This sequined boucle jacket is motorcycle cut and is soft and is easy to wear...

Pants, tank, jacket, necklace - Forever 21

YESTERDAY:
Hosted probably one of the last monday pool playdates at my house. We are all so upset to come to realize summer coming to an end and we will miss our Monday get together's so much. The kids were so funny inviting us upstairs to give us a concert they put together. Wish we went up with a camera.
After they left and the kids napped got the bad news about my car. It was the transmission and it would cost way too much so after many phone calls we decided it would be better to get it towed to a dealer and trade it in as is.
So my mom and step dad came to babysit while us and my dad left to purchase a car. Well, 4 hours later we were the proud owners of a mini-van but no car since the color I want won't come until tomorrow (which is now today).
Wait for a post later tonight....

Tribal Ruffles

Can you believe that I actually forgot to do a post last night!? I had the photos all downloaded and everything but just forgot. This was yesterday's outfit to the zoo. The inspiration came from the ruche website lookbook:
I liked this outfit so much that wanted to order the cardigan and the top. Then I found a very similar top from Forever 21 (the one I have on) of course at a much lower price and got that. The cardigan though I ordered. It is so soft and flowy...

Poses at the Orangutan exhibit at the zoo. We like coming here cause the ground is that soft poured recycled tires and there are places for kids to climb and jump from. Good for snack breaks and diaper change breaks. And I guess photo shoots too.

Wearing the necklace and the bracelet the kids got me for my b-day. My son immediately recognized and said 'I got you this'! I wore the butterfly side up.

YESTERDAY:
Had a playdate at the zoo yesterday morning. Kids are so used to the animals now so they only watch for like 2 minutes and the rest of the time they like to run around together and just play imaginary games. Our zoo is huge so we only cover a fraction of the area in each visit but even that is a lot of walking up and down hill.
My back is all messed up so I couldn't go to my weight lifting class at the gym. Stayed at home in the afternoon with the kids.
My son was styling in his outfit yesterday!

The entire gorilla clan was out!

Baby panda is growing up so fast!
