Cocktails 101

Monday night's outfit to go to a Cocktail class with my best friend…

Inspired by this very old (June 2012) issue of People Style Watch:

It was one of those outfits that I kept meaning to wear but never did until now…
Can't argue the beauty of a simple white tee with a blazer and a denim mini…

Blazer - Part of a very very old Bebe Suit
Skirt - Vintage
Tee - H&M
Booties - Michael Antonio
Sunglasses - House of Harlow
Purse - DKNY
Necklace - Vintage given as a gift by my friend…

MONDAY NIGHT:
Both my friend and I appreciate a well made craft cocktail so thought buying her this class as a birthday present would be great. Given our crazy scheduled though we could finally go in October for her past birthday in June!
The class was given by part owner professional bartender of a very cool bar called Polite Provisions in a newly became hip part of town.
We started with some appetizers from next door and a happy hour cocktail before the class….

What do you know?

Yesterday's outfit was inspired by this pinterest pos:

I haven't worn this denim mini in AGES!!!! I had to pull it down to make it somewhat appropriate but with flat sneakers it was actually fine.

Shirt - H&M
Skirt - Vintage
Sneakers - Steve Madden
Necklace - J Crew Factory
Purse - DKNY
Watch - Michael Kors

TUESDAY:
Volunteered at school than fit in a bootcamp work out before coming home to catch up on emails and shower. I needed to run to the mall for returns but I just didn't have it in me and didn't go than was bummed I got all dressed up and the only public outing I had was taking kids to swim team practice.
At the practice I ran into my friend and we were talking about our friend's upcoming b-day trip and I was telling her how I made plans to help birthday girl shop for the trip which is when I screamed cause I was supposed to be meeting her that afternoon!!! The good news was I was dressed and ready. The bad news is I had to rush the kids out and rush home to shower feed them and leave when my hubby got home.
We had fun shopping. I so wish I could find the clientele to be a personal shopper/stylist cause I really enjoy it. Once we closed down every possible store, we decided to find a place nearby for a drink. And what do you know there was apparently a dive Irish pub in the same strip mall! And they had an amazing live band inside there. You know right next to Vons between Hallmark and some beauty store!

Tough Choice

Sunday's outfit was inspired by this look from J Crew:

I don't have a sleeveless denim top so I used a white top instead but adding the large brim black fedora was a great idea from the inspiration...

Top - From Turkey
Skirt - Vintage
Hat - Forever 21
Slides - Zara
Purse - DKNY

SUNDAY:
The kids and I finally finished listening to the Harry Potter Book #4 (Goblet of Fire) on tape this week so we were all looking forward to watching the movie sunday morning. I love sharing these books with the kids as it becomes 'our thing' as we reference books we have read together. And I am amazed at my son's ability to remember every character name and scene from such thick book.
He was torn though by mid morning by the decision he had to make whether to continue watching the really long movie or going over to his Grandpa's house to watch the Charger game as he had promised the night before.
Decisions, decisions, decisions…
He decided to keep his promise at the end and go and watched the rest of the movie when he came home late afternoon after his baseball game.
