Here is how I turned my short hair into an updo….

Dress - Top Shop

CHRISTMAS EVE:
Well, I worked all day non stop to prepare a table of appetizers that were fresh out of pinterest posts…

My daughter and her friend did a cheer and gymnastics show for us...

And Ready for Santa….
Notice how we leave fruit and a festive drink instead of cookies and milk…
We like to offer something different for Santa...

Get Carried Away

This is one of 5 inspirations I cut out to style this unique patterned tank from kika. The print and colors are subtle and really leave room for endless possibilities...

Here is today's inspiration:

I just added a simple long necklace to keep things simple and give the spotlight to the print of the tank....

And of course I wasn't going to pull off these platforms to pre-school. I mean I can do some heels and wedges but these are full on 5 inch platforms... So instead so I went with my flat ankle cuff sandals instead...
Top - 'Vera' in marble print by kikaPaprika
Trench - Forever 21
Jeans - Newport News
Platform - Aldo, Sandals - Boutique 9
Necklace - Cookie Lee
Cuff - Stella & Dot

TODAY:
This morning was tough. My husband is away at a tennis tournament and I had to wake up with the kids who get up waaaay too early (5:45 AM) for my taste. They were nice enough to play for a while but my daughter got hungary and woke me up at 6:40! Going to be a tough day...
My son's class was hosting/leading flag day today for the whole school so we went early and parked the car and walked in for a change. They were so cute leading the pledge than singing the state song...And what was great is that I get the chance to be there for every tiny important moment of their lives.

Afterwards we went to my daughter's school then came home to rest a bit and get ready for the crazy day that awaits us tomorrow then went to my son's baseball practice and brought him and his friend home for their first sleepover.

Walking with big brother.... My goodness her hair is really at a weird stage right now. We are trying to grow it out....

Think Pink. A very bright PINK

HERE IS MY NEW PINK HAIR!
So, due to the fact that my ends were black from my previous ombre style we couldn't just go black to pink without extensive bleaching at first which would have damaged the hair. My wonderful dresser did a gradual lightening of the ends so over time we could move the pink down. We darkened the top like I wanted do a cool light brown. I have never gone 'cool' tones before as my natural hue is 'warm' but I loved it. I loved it so much that decided to add bangs!
It is very bright pink right now cause the dye is a vegetable dye and it will fade fast to more of a lighter tone which is what I was shooting for. Lets see how I like the fading. That will determine whether I will stick with this combo for a few months at least...

I went with a *very* basic outfit today to showcase the new hair. Just a simple black tee with skinny jeans and platforms. Added the fun purse as a focal point...

Inspiration:

Tee, Jeans - Forever 21
Shoes - Aldo
Purse - From turkey
Bracelets - Target

TODAY:
My cousin arrived from Turkey last night so we got to spend a lot of quality time with her. Also attended a playdate with kindergarten class my son will start. It wasn't great. Even though the mom's mingled and got to know each other, most of the kids would refuse to mingle. It was a large park though with 3 playgrounds so too much room to spread out. Next playdate will be at the school grounds this Sunday so hoping they will talk to each other then.
