A little peace and quiet

My outfit yesterday to head out to a Dr's appointment with my Dad...

The inspiration from May 2012 issue of People Style Watch:
I like saving these simple but a tad unexpected combination inspirations cause with being a Stay Home Mom I have a lot of those days where not much is going on but I still want to wear something a bit original and fun but not over the top. Pairing a simple dark grey top with leather jeans and brown boots and a fun purse was a perfect example...

My Dark grey tee was too crop to wear over this ridiculously low rise lavender jeans so added a bit longer lighter gray tank underneath. The fact that that tank had sequined straps worked beautifully...
I love these double zipper details on these jeans...
Chunky layered gunmetal and dark silver bracelets and rings.... I ordered some spectacular sets from Cookie Lee for my upcoming season can't wait for them to arrive...
This fun purse was just perfect to add a very subtle pop of color and print...
The boots I realize a bit odd for August but my defense was they are 'summer boots' ! :)

Oh and the spiked earrings...  Had to do a ponytail to show off the earrings...

TUESDAY:
My cousin and her husband took the kids to Sea World for the day. My pass has expired but my son's is still good so that is how they went.
I went to my Dad's Dr appointment and then got some work done at home.
We swam in the afternoon in the pool which was so nice and warm.

Don’t stop keep it moving

This was my outfit on Saturday to the craziest most busiest day I have had in a long time!

The inspiration was from a page in the 'Boston Proper' Catalog:

My Kika Paprika vest in the neon coral was the perfect match to re-create the look:

My super cool turquoise and coral feather and bead necklace was just perfect over another Kika Paprika piece: The Leah top...

This hat I have to say at my 4th and final event which was going out with my best friend got a lot of attention and compliments...

SATURDAY:
Was really insane... I had 4 back to back events... Left the house at 10:30 AM and did not come back until 11:30 PM!

Event 1: My son's best buddy's 5th Year B-Day Party:

snake necklaces:

Event #2 Close friend's housewarming pool and birthday party!

Event #3 My daughter's good friend's 3rd B-Day Party:

Event #4 Out to town for my BF's Birthday:
I did the first 2 parties solo with the kids while my husband played a tennis match. Then he met me at the 3rd party and from there he took the kids home and I left directly to meet up with my friend. We had a great time just the two of us for a change. We started with a cool and laid back wine bar, followed by this amazing dinner from a 'snack shack' then coffee at a quaint coffee house...

Well I was quite beat after such a crazy day!

I want to thank Kristin and Megan from Bon Bon Rose Girls for the lovely 'rosebud' feature they did on my blog and the Kika Paprika line I am representing/selling...

Finally feeling good enough to go back to our normal crazy routine. Instead of taking a summer camp/school we decided to create a summer playdate schedule and the first date was Friday a playdate at the zoo...

 His new skater cap!

My little ones are the ones in hats! Got that fedora for my daughter from Target and amazingly she did keep it on! Love it.
