These things are fun and fun is good

Easter Weekend outfit #1, worn on Saturday for our local rec center egg hunt and lunch with friends followed by a concert/birthday party in the afternoon…
Now you know why I am so behind in posts….

Inspired by an ad in Bloomingdale's current catalog:

Now the dress has made its debut I am on a roll creating slightly different looks with it.
This time I belted it and added gladiator sandals and a panama hat and the red suede fringed purse for pop of color….

Necklace - Cookie Lee

Sandals - Victoria's Secret (4 years ago!)
Hat - from a Drug Store !!!!

SATURDAY:
What a crazy busy day but full of fun…
First it was rec center egg hunt followed by lunch with friends.
Then went to a very unique 6th year old birthday party at a camp site with a rock concert tribute to David Bowie. Couldn't stay for the late concert though as my daughter's tummy started hurting, probably from all the activities and the candy…

Hop Little Bunnies

Friday's outfit came out quite nicely actually, inspired by this pinterest collage:

FRIDAY:
Tried Reformer Pilates class for the first time.
We are putting together a 'Get Fit' basket for the school gala for 2nd grade and as the room mom I took on asking 10 different establishments in our local neighborhood for donations of services or merchandise. They are all either fitness studios or Juice places. As a result I got to know so many cool studios and this pilates studio was one of them. I bought a groupon package and started today.
It was very cool. Great toning workout without too much stress on the joints and great to combine with my twice a week boot camp workout.
Afterwards I got home and started cooking right away. I cook the most basic simple dinners and yet it still takes a while especially the clean-up. I barely had time to shower and change and eat a quick leftover lunch before heading back to school to volunteer. Then picked up the kids and went direct to an early easter egg hunt party at my daughter's classmate housing complex…
Taking action photos of the kids was so much fun…

We left the egg hunt party early to rush to my son's swim team practice then came home and our out of town guests were already there. Ran around like crazy unloading everything and making their bed and emptying dishwasher, giving the kids a shower and rushing downstairs to heat the dinner I cooked and setting the table. It was dizzying. But we got to sit down to a nice dinner and catch up with old friends….

SATURDAY:
It was a busy but fun day.
My husband took my son to his baseball game while I took my daughter to her friend's birthday party that was quite a distance from our house. She loved the new venue we had never been with a large jungle gym and a frozen theme. We took the birthday cake to go and drove the same far distance back to the Easter Party at our friend's house.  It was a great party with two different egg hunts set-up for different age groups and yummy treats and drinks. Stayed there all afternoon then my husband left for the padres game with his friend and I took the kids home to meet my mom and have a quiet dinner….

We then changed her into a pretty Easter Dress:
