Sharing

Today's outfit is another Bee from Atlantic Pacific Inspiration:
I could have worn my red peacoat as well but I have been wanting to wear this cute cape jacket I took from my mom's closet. Plus this was a lot more comfortable to wear indoors so I kept the full outfit intact the whole time. Scarf and all...

Nice get use out of this maxi tank summer dress in winter months...

Added black cuffs and bangles and the resin rose ring...

Check out these coolest 'mohawk' earrings I found at F21 online! Then flipping through my fashion magazines I see this:
These are retailed at Elizabeth Cole Jewelry for $238! The do come in cool colors though.
Or the ones I got from Forever 21 for $12. I tried to find them but they are no longer on the site. That is F21 for you...

TODAY:
At PreSchool today it was my son's turn to 'share' a special toy he has with the class. He took this silly Soldier toy that sings a classic army song in Turkish. It was a toy given by one of my mom's friend's. It was amazing how that obnoxiously loud toy was barely heard in the class. Just shows to prove you how noisy it is there. After couple other kids showed their toys they all get to have their friends play with the toys they brought.
 Presenting his toy:

Here he is sharing the toy with others:

And here he is playing with the toy his other friend brought. Consequently the other friend is bilingual too and the toy had Japanese option.

And my daughter is checking out a doll her friend brought to share:

And lastly my kids being the monkey's they are. Well more my little troublemaker girl than son...

Today's Friend Friday hosted by Katy @ Modly Chic Blog is about Christmas Wish Lists!

To see my list which I posted last week click HERE!

But since I posted the list I had a few more items that I have come across...

First to re-cap mylist:
1. Michael Kors Parfume
2. Laptop lap cusion/desk from Pottery Barn Teen
3. Photoshop
4. Iphone blue tooth and car charger
5. Travel size antibacterial gels and hand creams

My new items are:
1. Rugged military style boots in black.
I am liking these 'Blake' Doc Martens:

2. portable, collapsible flats to wear when the heels get to be too much!
I am loving these Puma 'Rhytm and Shine' ones:
Or these crinkled patent leather from Corso Como found in Zappos:
You can see the puma's are better though with the padding on the heel area that will ensure the shoes don't hurt!
3. And Finally I had forgatton to add this: A lens that goes from 18 to 200+mm and is compact to fit my SLR.
Such as Tamron 18-200:

Or this 18-270mm more expansive one that has a technology i am not sure if it is worth for a non professional or not:

Well those are the additions so far! :)

Davey Crockett

Today's outfit was inspired by last year's J Crew catalog. The weather actually got back to normal today but I didn't want to change the outfit cause in the past I have decided to wear this outfit and did not multiple times. I just wanted to wear it and remove it from my list.
Picked the cover photo of the 'winterized' version of the inspiration outfit below:

Mid day, especially when I had to grocery shop it got warm and i was back to this stage of the outfit:
It is an interesting combination this burnt coral blouse with burgundy corduroy pants. I love finding inspirations that allow me to wear super old pieces like this blouse bought for our big Safari trip to Kenya, Africa back in 2004. The whole set of clothes rest in my son's closet waiting for another lifetime opportunity to take such trip again! But in the mean time it is nice to use some of them here and there.
Pink pashmina scarf is very old and I don't even remember where and how I acquired it. The purse was purchased for a summer beach purse about 3-4 years ago. I just took it out for the shoot as I was too lazy to switch the contents of my diaper bag to do this just for today.

And to make the outfit versatile for the colder weather, I added the very dark brown leather jacket and the faux fur hat! For some variety took out my brown and gold aviator sunglasses...

My son said I looked like a boy story book character in this hat! He is kind of right and I do get the Davey Crockett feel a bit which inspired my title!

Of course as you suspect I did not wear these nude beauties. I was supposed to have a mommy's night out tonight and was going to wear them then but that got cancelled and I plan to do some peaceful xmas shopping in actual stores without the kids. So all that took place in my cognac ugg boots.

TODAY:
Took the kids to see the 'Muppets' movie at a 'mommy and me' movie theater. It was nice cause I only paid $6 for myself and both kids were free since they were under 4. And it is  nice to not stress about kids talking with louder voices etc.. since it was a mommy and me movie hour. The lights are not dimmed all the way and there are a lot of babies.
After naps we stayed home so I can pay bills and cook dinner but I left when my husband got home so I can do a bit of xmas shopping in peace. Met with my mom and sister and we hit our usual stop which is TJ Maxx. Great finds. I really need to start on my gift wrapping though. The guest room closet is getting out of control. Hopefully next week.

Here are some photos from yesterday when Kids decorated my mom and stepdad's tree:

She insisted on wanting to ride this skateboard ornament!

Eyelet

Today's outfit came out better that I envisioned.

The inspiration was from Elle's February 2011 issue:
You can see it was this tiny photo in the middle on the right. But it caught my eye cause I have all similar pieces.... I just love getting remix ideas from magazines. Allows me to create more outfits from stuff I already Own.

This white eyelet skirt was from my mom's closet.

Even though this looked like a summer outfit it actually worked better cause the vest is made like a blazer jacket and is very thick.

Added white feather earrings cause no necklace worked for some reason with the outfit...

Fur trim booties added a more winter vibe to this and made it look appropriate for late November.

My crackle nails! My friend brought the blue crackle finish the other night. Over white it looks cool....

Skirt - from Turkey

TODAY:
Went to preschool in the morning. After naps took the kids to my parents' house to decorate their xmas tree. I haven't downloaded those photos yet but I do have photos of our tree from 2 days ago when my friend and I decorated it.
Oh, and after my parents' house took the kids to the library PJ story time again. Normally I would have skipped it and stayed at my mom's but we had books to return that were due today so that was my motivation. My husband played tennis.
The photos downloaded out of order but oh well...

These are personalized Lenox ornaments for my kids' 1st Christmas's (2007 and 2009)

We buy a new ornament every year. Either signifying what we did that year or a family photo. For this year I liked hallmark's frame one:

And this was from Jamaica to remember out big family trip this year:

My (faux) fireplace in the living room has a silver and white decoration:

The tree with just the ribbon first (I decided I will buy a new ribbon every year to change things up a bit from year to year...)

And the tree done with all the decorations:

The vintage Santa ornament my mom got me for this year:

I actually put away my year-round frames away during this month and put these up. The first two are when the kids visited Santa for the first time. The third is our xmas photo last year and the fourth is a snow photo I plan to change if we go to snow each year.
