Lucky Feathers

Today's red pant combo was inspired by an old 'shopbop' lookbook photo:

These pants are ridiculous old but I can never bring myself to give them up because they are made out of this Jersey material. They hold their shape even though they are stretch, you can machine was them and they don't need ironing and they fit perfect.
I was going to pair them with a white linen camisole blouse but then saw this tan cropped tank and decided to go with that instead....
Then it was too simple so added the crazy feather earrings which I feel I might never worn for some fun pop. Everyone commented on the earrings today....

Tank - boutique in PB
Pants - Forever 21
Shoes - Anthropologie
Earrings - Some website I can't remember now.

TODAY:
Did the usual pre-school today but my mom came at the end to pick up my daugthter and I went home for couple hours which I used to do laundry and clean the garage. After picking up my son from school we went to the park for a little bit then went to his swim team try out. He didn't quite make the team yet but the coach said he is very close just needs a few private lessons to perfect his stroke. He will be one of the youngest kids if he makes it. He swam 200 yards no problem. I was so proud of him. He did everything he was told and asked very specific questions to the coach he had never met all very confident. Afterwards we went to the dollar store then met my mom and daughter for some greek food for dinner. My mom had taken my daughter to her first nutcracker rehearsal this afternoon which was at the same time as the swim tryouts....

The hardest job you will ever love

Today's casual combo was chosen to handle my super crazy day. I was inspired by this collage put together by one of the bloggers (I didn't note who). May be the Carrie Fabulous blog:

Liked this purple, grey combo and liked that it had scarf a jacket and flats and JEANS. Perfect for an all day long busy day....

My brother and SIL gave me this bag couple weeks ago. I love how roomy it is and the color is just perfect. :)

Isn't this a cute beanie? I loved the rhinestone detailing. My dad noticed all these details when I met him for his Dr. appt today.

Jacket - Nike
Jeans - Old Navy
Scarf - Kika Paprika
Sneakers - hi top converses
Purse - Harvard
Earrings - Kate Young for Target
Hat and tee - Forever 21

TODAY:
Oh my goodness today was crazy. Left the house at 8:30 AM. Went to my daughter's ballet class. Then in rocket speed purchased a missing piece of our gift to my niece and got lucky and there was a UPS store next to there so got to ship it all in one very fast errand run. Then rushed to my Dad's Dr. appt. My aunt watched the little princess while I went in with my dad. Unfortunately there was a lot of wait and it took quite long so we only had a half hour to eat lunch together then it was rushing back to my son's school to pick him up with a quick stop at home to pick up soccer gear and more food for my constantly hungry kids. Stopped at the library for a little while so we can return and check out our weekly books. Then walked to my son's tennis class. During his class got my daughter dressed for soccer and rushed from there to her soccer practice where my sis and brother in law joined us.
After soccer it was the usual team dinner at Rubio's then home for a much much needed shower for the kids and getting them to bed.
I am quite exhausted but wrapped up Homeland season 2 episodes right now.

Anything but Basic

Wore this dress that I haven't worn in a while. It was actually residing in my daughter's closet. Quite comfortable with a nylon like material. Dries fast too. As a mom I constantly get wet so that is a good quality. :)
I haven't worn this Marni (for H&M) necklace in a while too. So good to give these pieces life again.

This is weird but sometimes I envision my clothes have a voice of their own. Kind of like the toys in the toy story movie. And they get all sad when I don't wear them for a while. So I feel I made this dress, necklace and the shoes very happy today.

Having fun with selfie poses lately. Instead of the tripod and timer I just hold the camera and snap. ALthough with the heavy SLR and special lens it is quite an arm exercise to hold it up in one hand.

Necklace - Marni for H&M
Dress - Kirne Zapete (sp?) for Target)
Wedges - Gomex

TODAY:
Uneventful day of preschool and picking up son doing pizza wednesday at his school. Going to the dentist (he has another cavity!). Back at home putting up Halloween decorations (we really need to obtain more stuff). Dinner out where my friend met us. Now catching up on TV shows with my friend...

Preschool gone Wild

Today's simple combo was inspired by this:
My SLR was out of battery this morning though and my compact camera stopped responding to touch screen so I had to wait until I got to the zoo for a friend to take photos. So very few today.
These close-ups were taken myself...

The Selfie pose:

I love this delicate necklace my sis brought for me from Turkey... I rarely wear delicate stuff but this one is perfect when you want to go with minimalism....

My mega bling backpack is also gift from my sister. Now that my daughter has outgrown strollers we have to carry all the gear ourselves so a backpack is a must have when doing amusement parks or all day trips to the zoo or sea world for example. I fit the lunch bag inside the backpack.

Shirt - Gap
T-shirt - Forever 21
Shorts - TJ Maxx
Boots - Steve Madden
Bracelets  - cookie Lee
Necklace - From Turkey
Backpack - Victoria's Secret PINK

TODAY:
My son had a melt down when my daughter spilled the beans on us going to the zoo with her class.
After consoling her we did head to the zoo to meet our class. My daughter has the class puppet 'Mr. Wrinkles' so it was perfect to bring him along for some photos for the Friday presentation.
Of course after the zoo she passed out in the car. Rest of the day was un eventful. :)

With her twin best pals:

Poor T. Rachel the kids love to follow her instead of walking with their mommies....

 They love to climb!
