Wide open spaces

Today's outfit for wine tasting at Portland's Willamette Valley was inspired by People Style Watch's July 2013 issue:

 Tank - TJ Maxx
Pants - Rock Republic for Kohl's
Booties - Juicy Couture
Earrings - Forever 21
Bracelets - Bauble Bar

TODAY:
Day 2 in Portland, Oregon was dedicated to Wine Tasting in their up and coming Willamette Valley with over 150 wineries and growing. They specialize in Pinot Noirs.  We booked a private tour with where our guide was extremely educated in wine making, local wineries and everything that has to do with grapes. To truly enjoy the entire day and keep our taste pallets intact we paced ourselves and tasted either very slowly or split tastings and had an amazingly peaceful and fun day.

My friends had the cutest sash and a tiara for me so everyone knew it was my big 4-0 birthday!

And you got to love this..... The birthday Card my friend got where she personalized it with our names on the cover:

NIGHT OUTFIT:
After a long day of wine tasting we hit the hotel for a quick change and hit the road again for more adventure....

 Crisply brussel sprouts and cauliflower...

COCKTAILS

After two rounds of cocktails we felt brave enough to tackle the walk over the burnside road and the bridge towards south east part of the town back to the sketchy area to find this famous meat and cheese restaurant....

Walking on the bridge next to major traffic!

Crossing over the I-5 Freeway!

FINALLY ARRIVED!

Gilt Club

Outfit Thursday night at Portland for happy hour drinks and dinner....

Inspiration from the Russian 'Burda' magazine:

Tee, Belt, Chains - Forever 21
Skirt - TJ Maxx
Booties - Juicy Couture
Backpack - Victoria's Secret
Necklace - Bauble Bar

THURSDAY NIGHT:
Our other two friends arrived in the afternoon and we all got ready to hit the town. Walked around Chinatown which is unique for sure as it is much more quiet here so far than San Diego and interesting characters on the streets. So much that we had to pick an choose who we can hand over the SLR to take a photo of all of us.  Found the club we had looked up in the tour guides and sampled some of their wild signature cocktails while nibbling on pork rinds and bread.
Then after 9 PM went to the rooftop grill with gorgeous panaromic skyline views for their late night dinner and drinks menu where everything was under $10.
Feels like all we did is eat and drink today!

We both turned 40 this summer!
