It's a Shore Thing

Yesterday's outfit was inspired by this Pinterest post:

I substituted my peach jeans instead of shorts and went for sleeveless sheer top instead of the long sleeve version. The pearls and jeweled sandals and black sunglasses pulled the look...

THURSDAY:
We skipped the ice skating lesson to join this 'Shore Thing' event at the Museum of Modern art which happens to be located in my zipcode. Every thursday they have a free entrance to the museum with a DJ and a cash bar. The venue is just absolutely breathtaking over looking our city' beautiful shoreline.
We first met at the rec center across the street and had the kids play and ate a picnic dinner then went in. ONly to discover the current exhibition is quite not suitable for children so we had to browse very quickly and skip some of the rooms as the paintings were quite disturbing…
But the kids had a great time playing at the outside area. We all decided this would be a great outing for couples sans children…. Next time….

Yeah, yeah, this is a tough city to live in!...

I'll write your name

My outfit on Sunday for Comic Con day 2…
My mom got me these fun leggings last Christmas I think so I could wear them to comic con…

Sneakers - Converses

SUNDAY:
Went super early in the morning so I can fulfill my volunteer duty to obtain a free ticket for that day. Got lucky cause the section they assigned me didn't have any line and they released us after one hour. It was nice and quiet on the convention floor so I had fun browsing and shopping. Got two free books signed by authors, bought some tee's etc… Then finally around noon my hubby brought down the kids and our friends joined us. Except by that time it was ridiculous crowded. I mean just too much shoulder to shoulder. You couldn't even take photos because you couldn't back up enough. Hence all the photos are pretty close-up. The kids, especially my son hated it. They hated the crowds they were overwhelmed and he kept saying he is not really into super heroes anyway. My daughter though liked it and I think she would have had more fun if I just brought her…
We went outside to check out those attractions but the kids didn't want to wait in any lines.
We made a family decision that I would never try to bring them to this even and go with my two girlfriends where we have a lot of fun. My daughter may be one day…
At least they saw what it was all about…

To have and to hold

What I wore Saturday night to my sister's best friend's wedding…

This was the dress I bought to wear at my cousin's wedding 6 years ago.
It was an amazing find at a Thread Show. The super cool style and the bright jewel geometric pattern appealed to me… It has a lot going on though so I think I wore it once on this blog for an art opening with a black blazer on top but that is it… So it was nice to wear it again…
And these dainty sunglasses always look great with dressy wear at weddings. I wore them to a wedding in Turkey too...

Isn't this necklace just gorgeous? Such a minimalist look given how much the dress has going…
One of those great finds on Forever 21 online...

So even though these shoes looked absolutely adorable with the dress and the style I couldn't stand in them without my calves and legs shaking so had to switch to the electric blue sandals with block heels instead...
